Bullets have been a part of the world for centuries, and Millbrae is home to one of the oldest bullet-manufacturing plants in the United States. The mill was founded in 1887 by George Armour and his son, Hiram Armour. It produced small caliber bullets for rifles and pistols. The company closure in 1949 left a significant hole in the ammunition market. In 1967, a new plant was opened in Simi Valley, California to produce largecaliber bullets for shotguns and rifles. This plant became an important factor in the resurgence of American ammunition manufacturing after World War II. Bullet production resumed at Millbrae in 1978 after years of layoff due to technological advancements that made larger calibers more efficient and available than ever before. As America’s largest ammo manufacturer, Brownells produces thousands of rounds of ammunition every day across various firearms platforms including handguns, shotguns, rifle cartridges and even airsoft guns!

Millbrae is a census-designated place in Santa Clara County, California, United States. The population was 8,895 at the 2010 census. Millbrae is located on the western edge of San Jose adjacent to Silicon Valley and about 20 miles north of Los Altos Hills. Millbrae began as a small farming community that included only a few homes and a mill. In 1892, the mill was destroyed by fire and replaced with a large brick building that still stands today. The community grew rapidly after World War II when many businesses moved to Millbrae from other parts of Santa Clara County. By 1990, Millbrae had become an established suburb of San Jose with high-rise buildings and an active commercial district. However, growth has slowed in recent years as new housing developments have been built near Highway 101 and Interstate 80. Millbrae is home to several schools including Mills High School which offers both 9th through 12th grades along with college preparatory courses for students in grades 7 through 12; South Bay Charter School which provides education for students up to grade 12; North Bay Area Technical High School (now known as North Bay Community College District #2) which offers high school graduation classes from ninth through twelve grade along with vocational programs for students in all grades; and Woodbridge Christian Academy which provides kindergarten through eighth grade education for children living in or nearby the community. The first post office opened at Millbrae on October 1, 1892 (although no records survive indicating who served as Postmaster). It was located on West First Street between Market Street and Morse Avenue (now University Avenue). The town grew quickly due to its proximity to industry and agriculture so it needed two posts offices - one on Second Street east of Market while the other was located on First Street west of Market. On November 15, 1895, the first telephone line was installed in town providing communication between various businesses in town as well as surrounding farms . In 1903 there were also two churches – one being Baptist (later renamed Lutheran) Church on Church Road northwest of Main Street while another Congregationalist church (later known as Our Savior's Lutheran) was built northeast of First Street just south of Uinta Boulevard . In 1925 there were 10 households out of a total population of 30 residents according to the US Census Bureau report “Santa Clara County—A Statistical history” . According to this report: “Most families resided within walking distance either from their work or farm chores or less than half mile away form their homes... Only three families resided more than one mile from their dwellings... Most workers commuted into town during business hours” By 1990 there were over 2000 residents living within 5 miles either side of I-80 where most worked or lived close by doing farm chores while others took advantage of public transportation such as BART buses available 24/7

RCA also produced radios and TVs with built-in AC-3 speakers starting in 1936. By the early 1950s, most homes had at least one AC-3 speaker system.
Millbrae, California is a small town in San Mateo County, California, United States. The population was 522 at the 2010 census. Millbrae is located on the eastern edge of the city of Redwood City and is bordered by Menlo Park to the north and East Palo Alto to the south. Millbrae straddles both Santa Clara County and San Mateo County. The first permanent settlement in what would become Millbrae was made on October 15, 1853 when three men from San Francisco named George Stephenson, Nicholas Roebuck and James Irvine built a cabin on a bluff overlooking Mission Creek. The three men were also among Californias earliest settlers. In 1859, John Sutter founded Sutter's Mill in present-day Menlo Park with water power from Mission Creek. By 1861, Sutter's mill had produced flour for bread and other products for local markets as well as export to Europe and America. In 1865, Don Leland (later Leland Stanford) purchased part of Sutter's mill site which he used for his agricultural experiments at Stanford University. In 1870, Stanford donated land adjacent to his university campus for use as an Agricultural Experiment Station (AES). In 1875 during the height of its growth at Stanford University-the "golden age" of agriculture-AES Director Wmst Halsey namedIndustry Place after Drs Mills & Irvine who had organized AES Laboratory near Palo Alto& supervised various industrial enterprises conducted thereat during ensuing years.-Which name lasted until 1909 when it was changed back to Industry Place following the purchase by Mr Grewel of adjacent parcel now known as Grewel House., Incorporated under that name still resides hereabouts today.- During these years AES laboratories engaged in various research projects led by many eminent personalities such as: Sir Humphrey Davy (1836-1912), Averill Harriman (1867-1946), William Jennings Bryan (1893-1972), Nobel Prize Winners including Phillip Larkin(1925-) & Isaac Asimov(1950-) Among others.. In 1881 Immigrant Leonard Peltier arrived in Millbrae from Canada with his family after being rejected by American farmers because he could not read or write English fluently. He worked odd jobs before starting his own farm four miles west of town on land donated by Don Leland earlier that year.. On December 12th 1880 Leonard Peltier married Nettie Jorgensen who also came from Canada together with her parents.(They are buried together at Evergreen Cemetery.) From 1890 through 1920Millbrae had its own post office which was destroyed by fire on November 24th 1915 but mail continued to be delivered via stagecoach until 1978 when all mail operations were discontinued due to budget cuts within the government.). AES laboratory staff did their research outdoors however this eventually stopped due to vandalism caused by students during World War II like Operation Crossroads where tons of radioactive material was stored outside.; gold mining began nearby so industry moved out into what would become Redwood City; new housing developments started replacing older wooden buildings throughout most of twentieth century; finally rediscovering farming around 1990 stresses resumed above preindustrial levels leading ultimately to loss of many jobs/villages over recent decades.; species extinctions have occurred including numerous inventors & scientists along with millions worthof Ancestral Ojibwe cultural artifacts., etc., resulting has significant environmental impact... Today much survives only thanksto donations from people all over the world interestedin preserving our history

The mill was enlarged in 1834 and became a meeting place for farmers and their families. In 1886, the mill burned down and the town of Millbrae was born.
