In 1851 it was decided that Amador Valley would become the capital of this newly created state due to its strategic location on both sides of the Tulare River gorge dividing Central California from Nevada and Arizona Territory- making it one of only three cities in America with this distinction at that time! The first government building constructed in Amador Valley was called “The Capitol” which served as both legislative chambers until 1865 when San Francisco replaced them as the State Capital! As Californiana grew more populous during the late 1800s many families began moving into Amador Valley seeking greater opportunities than they could find elsewhere including industry such as coal mining and lumber production but also agriculture such as horticulture, dairy farming and fruit orchards becoming increasingly popular; however during World War II much OF THE VALLEY WAS USED FOR THE MASSIVE PORTRAIT GALLERY ON VILLAGE ROADS PRESENTED HERE BY THE MERCED COUNTY ARCHIVES AND COURSES WHEN THEY WEREN’T ABANDONED AFTER WORLD WAR II KAISER HUGHES OWN TOWN OF SACRAMENTO CLAIMING THAT IT WAS DESTROYED IN A FIRE BUT WE KNOW FROM OTHER SOURCES THAT THIS STORY IS FALSE AS THERE ARE VISIBLE MATCHES TO THE LOT WHERE SAN FRANCISCO STANDS TODAY
