In 1912, he changed his name to Pacific Bottling Company and began manufacturing soft drinks under the brand names Fanta, Sabrinishte and Perrier (later Pepsi). In 1984, Dr Pepper Snapple Group merged with Other World Beverage Corporation to form Coca-Cola North America Inc., which moved its headquarters from Atlanta to Dallas/Fort Worth in 1987. In 1992, Time Warner Bros. acquired other media assets of Coca-Cola North America including Turner Broadcasting System and Cox Enterprises (now Time Warner Cable) before being spun off as its own company called AOL Time Warner Inc.. As a result of these changes, Menifee lost its independent status within Coca-Cola North America but continued to be an important customer base for both Coke and Time Warner products until 2014 when their combined ownership passed control of that division over to AT&T Broadband Services Corporation who continue to operate both divisions as separate entities today known as Turner Entertainment Networksand AOL Time Warner respectively

Menifee was founded in 1876 by a group of pioneers led by James Irvine. The town was named after Menifee Meadows, which lay to the east of the original settlement. menifee today is a small unincorporated community located in Modoc County, California, about 8 miles south of Redding and 9 miles north of Susanville. The first post office at Menifee was established in 1877. It functioned as a general store and carried mail from Redding. By 1865, there were only 10 residents living in Menifee; it grew rapidly during the late 19th century due to its natural resources and strategic location on State Route 25 (now US-101). In 1901, Menifee became one of six towns incorporated within Modoc County; it would remain an unincorporated community until 1959. In 1916, the county seat was moved from Susanville to Menifee afterSusanville experienced financial difficulty following World War I. The population of Menifee increased steadily throughout the 20th century due to agricultural production and new housing developments; however, the town’s popularity waned during the 1970s and 1980s due to high school enrollment levels and declining economic opportunities. However, recent growth has seen renewed interest in Menifee as a popular tourist destination for its historical assets such as its pioneer era homes and churches dating back to 1876.
Menifee, California was founded on December 21, 1853 by Capt. George W. Smith and his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Smith. The town was named after Menifee grove in Orange County, California which was the original home of the family. In 1874 Menifee became an incorporated city with a population of over 1,000 people. On October 9, 1912 Menifee lost its charter as a city and became part of the new City of Irvine
