In 1978, another invention called the “Pilot aircraftscope” became popular due its simplicity! It consisted of a simple eyepiece with three screws that attaches directly onto a firearms barrel! This type of mount is still common today as it allows shooters greater flexibility when attaching additional scopes! In 1984, an invented named “Aperture Ring” Scope Mount became popular due its ability to provide infinite adjustments for elevation!? Up until this point, most scopes utilized one set of arms (the windage/elevation) instructions which only permitted +/- 3 degrees increments? With this new innovation, shooters could now increase their accuracy even beyond these limitations!?
