Mcfarland is a small town in Humboldt County, California. The population was 1,304 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Eureka–Mountain View, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1876 by families of English descent who immigrated to California from the East and had no idea what they were doing when they arrived. They named their community after a nearby mountain range because that's where they thought God would place them. The first post office in Mcfarland opened in 1877 and served the entire town for four years before being moved to its current location on Forest Road. In 1902, the first school was built and operated for three years before being closed due to low enrollment. A new school was built in 1908 and serves present day McFarland through grade 5th through 8th grades. In 1923, Mcfarland became an incorporated municipality with a Mayor and Council system similar to that of today's city government with two Mayor positions plus ten Council members elected at-large as part of open voting attendance only elections held every four years like today's mayoralties are also held every four years instead of every six months as currently allowed by state law which mandates staggered term election dates on occasions such as special events or hurricanes/floods etc... On November 3rd, 2018 Voters approved Measure B ( termed "Measure C") which would amend the Town Charter to create an eight member Board of Education including three Chairpersons while increasing funding per pupil up from $2,500 pre-measure to $9,000 post-measure effective January 1st 2021....
Gun magazines have been around for centuries, and they’re no stranger to firearms. In fact, some of the earliest magazine-fed firearms were pistols and rifles dating back to the 16th century. However, it wasn’t until the early 1800s that gun magazines began becoming a staple in modern firearm ownership. The development of percussion cap ignition (CCI) firearms led to the introduction of magazine-fed guns in the 1820s. At first, these weapons were used by cavalry and artillery units as backup firepower when their primary arms failed. But eventually, this type of weapon became popular among infantry forces as well. This popularity was due in part to two factors: The reliability of CCI Pistols and Rifles at short ranges was much greater than traditional single shot handguns or rifles; and Magazine capacity allowed soldiers to reload quickly if needed. In the 1860s, another important development occurred with journaled ammunition – this time called “flathead” rounds. This type of ammunition featured a cylindrical projectile that sat on an expandable round base (commonly known as a bullet). When fired off a rifle or pistol barrel, flathead rounds created muzzle energy equivalent to that generated by traditional rounds such as buckshot. This provided infantrymen with an increased ability to engage targets from close range without having to worry about losing their ammo source or exposing themselves too soon after firing. But even thoughMagazine-fed firearms came into general use throughout much of history, there were still certain types of officers and militaries who preferred older methods of loading their weapons – such as using powder horns or dogsled loads. And even today, some military personnel prefer using old-fashioned shotgun shells instead of modern assault rifles for several reasons: First, shotguns are more durable than most other types of cartridges; Second, shotgun shells are relatively easy enoughto load that even non-gunners can do it; Third, shotgun shells tend not to fragment when striking hard objects like armoured vehicles or human targets; Lastly, shotgun shell trajectories are generally more accurate than those delivered by assault rifles

In 1847, John Mcfarland discovered gold in the Sacramento River. The discovery was a huge success for him and his family, and they quickly became rich. John's son, James, took over the business when his father died in 1851. The company grew rapidly and by 1879 it had become one of the leading gold mining companies in California. In 1907, James Mcfarland sold the company to Andrew Carnegie for $1 million. Over the years, the Mcfarlands have been involved in many important businesses including steelmaking and shipping. James McFarland is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Sacramento.
MCSW remains the only major employer in Mcfarland, California. The company was founded in 1916 by George W. and Anna C. McFarland, who opened a general store on the corner of Nevada Avenue and I Street. They continued to operate their store until it closed in 1951. In 1976, the company merged with nearby Jardine & MacLeod Corporation to form MCSW-Jardine & MacLeod Incorporated. Today, MCSW is one of the largest employers in town with over 1,800 employees and a presence throughout all of southern California. The company provides jobs for locals as well as those living outside of town via its subsidiaries including Jardine & MacLeod Technical Services (JMT), which provides technology consulting services; McLaughlin Trucking Company (MTC), which operates two truck operations; and McLoughlin Logistics Company (MLOC), which provides transportation logistics services.
