Gun mags have been around for a long time in California. Magazines have been used to store various guns for many years, and the first published record of gun magazines in Maywood is from 1867. At that time, there were only a handful of handguns in the area, and it was not practical or feasible to keep all of them in one place. So, instead,magazines were used to store handguns as well as other firearms. In 1903,Maywood passed an ordinance banning open carrying of firearms without a permit. This law made it illegal to carry your unloaded handgun openly within the city limits. As a result, Pistol-Picking contests became popular among residents who wanted to demonstrate their legal right to bear arms without fear of being stopped by police or having their firearm confiscated. The ban on open carrying did not last very long however; after just three years it was repealed due to public outcry. The reason behind this repeal is unknown but may have been because people felt that carrying an unloaded handgun outside your home was no different than opencarrying a knife or pepper spray outside your home - both activities are legal under the ordinance at the time. In 1968, Maywood replaced its original ordinance with one that allowed concealed carry of handguns with a permit if you had resided in the city for over six months and possessed any type of pistol license (other than revolvers). However, this law did not take effect until 1969 because local prosecutors refused to issue permits beginning in 1966 due to concerns about potential arise from such a change in policy. Today, Maywood tries hard to be an inclusive community and welcomes everyone who desires access to our safe streets and vibrant culture while exercising their Second Amendment rights!

Maywood began as an agricultural settlement and soon became a manufacturing center for agricultural products such as chickens and eggs, flour, soap and canned goods. Maywood, California is a small city located in Contra Costa County, California. The population was 20,853 at the 2000 census. It is named after General George May, who fought in the Mexican-American War and served as Governor of San Francisco from 1853 to 1855. The City of Maywood was incorporated on October 6, 1897. The first people to live in what is now known as Maywood were Native American traders and their herds of cattle. A mission built by the Franciscan order called Rancho San Antonio de Padua was located here in 1846. In 1868, another mission established by the Franciscans called Rancho San José (now part of Lafayette) also became a community in this area. In 1886, when Southern Pacific Railroad began construction through Contra Costa County, it passed through what is now Maywood on its way north to Richmond. One local man who helped make this happen was rancher John Doolittle. Doolittle donated land for the railroad and constructed two stations - one near his ranch house today and one closer to town - which made it easy for passengers and freight operators to move goods between these two locations. By 1900, many towns had been founded throughout Contra Costa County due to advances in transportation including automobiles and high-speed railroads such as Southern Pacific Railroad's El Sobrante Branchline which ran through town center cutting off streets leading away from it creating an open marketplace where goods could be sold without being interfered with or stolen
Maywood is a small city in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 7,253 at the 2010 census. It is the namesake of a nearby tract of land that was the subject of controversy in 1853 when it was awarded to John Maynard Hutchins by the state government as part of Rancho San Bernardino.
