Marysville is a small town in Sonoma County, California, United States. The population was 10,474 at the 2010 census. Road (now U.S. Route 101). One reason that this area became so developed was that it had no natural resources other than acorns which could be turned into flour or lumber. In 1916–17, during World War I, local citizens helped build a military airfield just east of town using their skills as carpenters and electricians. The field was used by both sides but eventually closed due to lack of investment or useage after the war ended without any great victory being achieved by either side. After World War II ended with Japan's surrender, many Japanese Americans living in Northern California started returning home – some through Marysville proper (the majority coming through nearby Petaluma), while others made their way downriver via Yountville or Ukiah before finally reaching Marysville proper on October 15th 1945 (the day Japan capitulated). Many of these returning veterans brought with them their families along with them as they left behind homes they had never seen again… including one large family whose home sat atop a hill overlooking downtown Marysville for more than 50 years!

In 1906, when Californias statehood were being debated, Marysville voted 15-1 to become part of San Francisco Bay Area; however this decision failed to receive statewide approval because it violated state law that cities must be within their respective counties when forming partnerships with other municipalities or joining other types of agreements with other states/territories without prior county approval (the measure would have been repealed if it had).
