The city was founded in 1853 by Russian émigrés Fyodor Dostoevsky and his wife Marina Kondrashova. Dostoevsky named it after himself, while Kondrashova named it for her parents, Ivan Kondrashov and Nadezhda Dmitrieva. The original mission of the Mission San Rafael de Asís (now part of Marin County) was to establish a mission station on Point Reyes Peninsula to serve as a spiritual center for Russian sailors who had come ashore during the Crimean War that year. In 1856, Rear Admiral John Leland purchased land southeast of present-day Marina from Pedro Ferrer and founded "Leland's Landing" on what would become known as Pier 1 in honor of Admiral Leland's purchase. Marinas first store opened in 1865; its first post office was established in 1868. In 1896, when Bay Area Rapid Transit began construction between San Francisco and Oakland), Marinas became one of its initial stations on the line. MARINAs FIRST BUS service commenced operations on October 1st 1897 from downtown San Francisco to Balboa Park via Midtown San Francisco with route #1A which stopped at City Hall before continuing east along Market Street then turning south onto Vallejo Boulevard served by route #2A which continued out behind MidtownSF until reaching its terminus at Embarcadero Station before continuing west along Vallejo Boulevard intoOakland where passengers could transfer to BART cars or take buses to central Oakland or Berkeley respectively

Gun security history can be traced back to the first pistols used in warfare. These pistols were designed by Nicholas-Jacques Conte and Firearms expert John Brownlee in 1857. The first handguns were made of brass and had an exposed hammer which allowed them to be fired with only one hand. Pistol usage increased during World War I because more soldiers needed efficient means of defense against machineguns and snipers. During the late 1800s through the 1920s, handguns continued to grow in popularity as they became more reliable and easier to store and use than rifles or shotguns. However, there was also an increase in injuries caused by gunshots. In 1922 alone, there were over 1,500 shootings involving automatic firearms in New York City alone! This led to stricter regulations on how handguns could be used and stored across America; however, this did not stop gun crimes from happening either. In fact, between 1934-2007 guns per capita shot increased by 363%. The NRA played a significant role in keeping gun violence down throughout these years; however, recent events have shown that they may not have done enough in regards to public protection while also continuing their advocacy for stronger gun control laws overall. Since Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting on December 14th 2012, there has been an increase in incidents where firearms have been used in productions (e.g., films). It is important for theaters who allow guns into their venues to take measures such as metal detectors and ID checks before admission begins so that any potential offenders do not have access to firearms without proper identification or authorization from authorities. Due to all of these events surrounding our Gun Security History Month it would seem as though better safety measures needto continue being put into place both inside and outside of movie theaters if we hope keep our communities safe from harm!

The act regulated firearms by place of manufacture, type of firearm, and possession. It also banned certain types of weapons such as handguns and shotguns. On Feb. 12, 1934, the New Deal Amendments to the United States Constitution were ratified which repealed many of the provisions of the Second National Firearms Act and created new gun regulations.
Marina, California is a town in San Diego County, California. The population was 22,448 at the 2010 census. It is located on the coast of San Diego Bay. Marina was founded by Spanish settlers in 1776 as part of Rancho del Rey de Tijuana. The first post office in Marina opened on February 14, 1892. The town name came from Spanish words meaning "Island of the Mute Swan" because many fishermen used to stop at the bay to take waterfowl for their dinner. The original white houses were built between 1907 and 1912 by A C Moffitt and his wife Florence Ellsworth McNaughton-Moffitt. They were a model of Moderne architecture with turrets and stone quoins that are still seen today in Marina's downtown area. In 1926, Mayor Harry Houdini arrived in Marinas during an investigation into bribery allegations against members of his city council. After spending two days ashore, he announced that he had fled to Mexico City through Panama City Airport on November 25th but had actually come down from Mazatlan airport aboard a private plane owned by Manuel Vegas (!). In 1941, Japanese military forces bombed Pearl Harbor Naval Air Station ( NAS ). This destroyed much of NAS , including buildings housing naval aircrews who would have been available to fly aircraft against Japan if they had not been destroyed so severely. Many NAS personnel families moved into Marinas after the bombing while others chose to live elsewhere within 3 miles (5 km) of NAS . An History Museum was opened at NAS - now known as Point Loma National Monument - in 1947 following damage caused by Hurricane Earl . In 1984/1985, Marina got its own ZIP code when San Diego annexed it from neighboring Qualcomm . Marina experienced significant growth after World War II due largely to baby boomers moving there for work or education opportunities associated with new technology jobs such as electronics manufacturing or aerospace engineering which mushroomed during post-war prosperity and rapid urbanization across Southern California . The post-war boom ended abruptly around 1970 when oil prices collapsed and new technology jobs disappeared; however some high-tech businesses have continued to grow since then such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise ( HPE ), Apple Computer ( AAPL ) and Intel Corporation ( INTC ). Today's economy is based largely on services with heavy reliance on information technology
The Marina area of California was originally inhabited by the Ohlone people. The first European to visit the area, Spanish sailor Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo, landed on San Francisco Bay in 1542. In 1775, Mission Dolores was founded in what is now Marina and it served as a mission until 1821. In 1853, the City of San Francisco was incorporated and began developing the waterfront areas around Mare Island Naval Shipyard. The city annexed portions of Marin County in 1907, creating a community that stretched from Sausalito to Tiburon.
