Because of its powerful cartridge, it became one of the most popular firearms used by gunmen in Marin County during the 1920s and 1930s. In 1933, Mayor John Fenton enacted a law regulating handguns within city limits and banishing all imitation pistols with barrel lengths over 3 inches from public areas such as streets and sidewalks. This law led to increased demand for replica pistols among criminals and gangs who were able to purchase them easily without fear of prosecution. As a result, BB guns started becoming more common throughout Marina but still remained illegal under local ordinance at this point. In 1937, Mayor Fenton repealed the handgun prohibition laws after finding that they were ineffective at stopping crime and caused instead more violence between gangs and civilians than they did prevent it. By 1938,BB guns had become legal again within city limits but remain illegal outside of them today

Marina, California is a small town located in the Central Valley of California. The town was founded in 1909 by Russian immigrants. As more reefs were added to the harbour areas over time, it became necessary to build another harbour entrance - this one at Portola Drive which opened in 1959. In 1978, when San Francisco Mayor Dianne Feinstein announced that she would run for office on a platform of creating new jobs and increasing taxation within San Francisco's framework of government control over business activity within city boundaries (the so-called "Greenprint"), Marina saw great interest from candidates seeking office near San Francisco's limits but decided not to endorse her candidacy because she would not seek tax breaks for herself or her businesses outside of San Francisco proper; instead they made pleas directly with Feinstein for help developing projects within their borders should she win election as mayor and then perhaps provide some form of financing or grant support for these projects if they proceeded through City Hall without any City sanction or direction? It seems that such offers never eventuated due largely to political infighting between various factions within City Hall which often aligned themselves either with Dianne Feinstein's rival candidate John Beall or incumbent Mayor Barbara Jordan respectively...
