Henry Manton and his son John manufactured and sold these rifles until 1881 when they moved to San Francisco. From there they continued to make rifles and shotguns until 1907 when they closed their business. In 1911, the company re-opened under new ownership and continued making firearms until 1937. In that year, the company merged into Winchester Repeating Arms Company Incorporated (WRAC). Through WRAC, mantecaParts hsdeceased manufacturing of all types of firearms except for sporting purposes which remained with Winchester Repeating Arms Company Nevada (Winchester NV) until 1986. The last firearm made by mantecaParts was a shotgun on October 21st of 1987.

The Manteca Rifle and Pistol Club was founded in 1892. It was the first rifle club in Manteca, California. The club built a shooting gallery on the north side of Main Street. In 1907, the Manteca Rifle and Pistol Club changed its name to the Manteca Gun Club.
Manteca is a small, unincorporated community in Kern County, California, United States. It lies east of the city of Bakersfield on the south side of State Route 6. Manteca is also located within the Mount Baldy National Recreation Area. Manteca was founded in 1907 by John C. Smith and his wife Jennie as a small farming community consisting of just over 100 residents. By 1930, the population had grown to 1,500 people and it remained largely rural until the early 1990s when suburban development began to take hold in ranchland north of town. The original school building still stands today, serving as a community center for both local churches and schools until it was replaced by a new facility in 2002 that includes an outdoor amphitheater for music concerts and arts events alike. Manteca is a city in the San Joaquin Valley of California, United States. The population was 97,821 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Modesto metropolitan area and is located about east of downtown Modesto on State Route 3. It was founded by the Mariposa County settlers in 1847 as a small community named Manteca Wells. In 1876, Manteca became an incorporated town when it lost its patent to Butte County. In 1889, Manteca was renamed for General Grant Wood after he retired from command of Military District No. 6 in California during the Mexican–American War. In 1898, Manteca became known as "the most beautiful small town in America" due to its scenic views and high quality of life. The first post office opened in Manteca on October 7, 1847. The name change occurred because early residents were not able to pronounce "manteca". The original town plat included two streets and four blocks square with a fire station and one store on each block corner lot This layout would be discontinued when construction began on what is now Main Street which ran parallel to East First Street (north-south). North-south Streets were constructed later only when east-west Streets were needed since main Street would have reached just beyond where they are today had it been straight across from east to west like it once was! Postmaster George Waddell established a general store on Elmira Avenue which served as the nucleus around which other businesses grew quickly throughout that first decade or so - madame's bakery (1849), blacksmith shop (1850), wagon shop (1851), schoolhouse (1852) - all within 500 feet of one another... manufacturing activity increased rapidly early 1800s with sawmill opening soon afterwards followed by flour milling; harnesses, saddles etc., tanning goods also popular pursuits during this time frame."
