By 1937, over 1 million Winchester Target Hangers had been manufactured by Winchester Incorporated alone. Because so many shooters were using these targets for training purposes rather than hunting animals, it was not until after World War II that shooting target holders became popular among average citizens across America as sporting guns instead of military weapons!

Downtown property values soared while inland properties were sold off or developed into single family homes (). Today many businesses have closed down but some remain such as Sam's Club which once served as the largest employer in town () . The name “Hollywood” came about because these guys thought it would be better if everyone called everything by its local name rather than using names like West Coast (LA), East Coast (Pasadena), etc., which might sound strange to someone from Central Park or Midtown Manhattan! Even though Hollywood had started up here before anyone else in Southern California, it really took off when its namesake town got involved! In 1951, Mayor Joe Lappe created Shoreham-By-the-Sea as a separate municipality within downtown Manhattan Beach so that businesses wouldn’t have to share traffic with each other and also so that residents wouldn’t have to deal with all those tourists coming into town every day! And even today, Shoreham-By-the-Sea is still considered part of downtown Manhattan Beach!
The Manhattan Beach area was first settled in the 1850s by the British. The town of Manhattan Beach became a part of Los Angeles County in 1871. In 1907, the city of Los Angeles built a lighted pier to serve as an entrance to the channel which would become known as Pier 39. The pier became known as Pier 59 and is now home to the USC Trojan Stadium.
