This included helping design and manufactures two types of reddot sights: The Nazi Zeiss Optics "T1" model and the Browning Automatic Rifle's (BAR) M1917 type A Barrett scope mount. By 1951, Red Dot had opened their second store in Ontario City near downtown Los Angeles due to popular demand from shooters throughout Southern California. Sievers purchased a model A1 red dot sight from the then-new company American Optics Industries (AOI). The gun's serial number is 819508. This shotgun was originally made in 1986 by Mossberg & Sons, Inc. In early 1991, AOI began production of the A2 red dot sight for shotguns and pistols. The first rifles to be equipped with this sight were those produced by Ruger Manufacturing Company under license from American Optics Industries (AOI). At that time, Ruger was the exclusive licensee for the manufacturing and marketing of shotguns and pistols using AOI sights. The first rifles to ship with an AOI red dot sight were the Model 730R and Model 735R piston guns manufactured by Sturm Archery Company. These guns were exported to Europe before being sold domestically in October 1992. In 1993, Glock Manufacturing Corporation became licensed for use of ADL sights on handguns manufactured in North America by American Optics Industries (AOI).

A mission called Nuestra Señora del Carmen was founded here in 1769 AD under Spanish rule following Juan Bautista Cabrillo's visit which marked the beginning of European settlement on Angel Island San Diego Bay Area In 1882 when Imperial Tobacco Company laid claim to all land west of Mission Bay they named this new location "Newport", after then-Governor John Pimm's estate near Newport News Va., because it seemed more convenient than "San Dieguito" (now part of Torrance) which they had proposed name for what would become Manhattan Beach In 1902 when newly elected Mayor George Eastman recommended that city council rename "Manhattan Beach" after his wife Anna Roosevelt he added an “e” because it made sense geographically given that Anna was from Eastern New York In 1906 when city engineer Harry Black designed streetscape improvements along First Avenue between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue blacktop roadways were installed as part of Atlantic City–Pacific Coast Highway program; these included sidewalks, curbside water fountains and light posts at intersectionsallocating similar widths throughout neighborhoods including those now within boundaries of both cities During World War II while military production took place in other parts of San Diego County Ammo production began at Point Loma Naval Ammunition Depot (today known as US Military ammunition stores). This led directly to jobs being created right here in Manhattan Beach during peacetime as well some 30 years later when 9/11 happened

Manhattan Beach is a town in San Mateo County, California, United States. The population was 10,827 at the 2010 census. Manhattan Beach is part of the Santa Clara Valley. The first permanent settler in what is now Manhattan Beach was John Sutter. He arrived in 1847 and named his land "Mt Pleasant" after Mount Pleasant, England. Sutter's brother-in-law, James Irvine, purchased him the land on which he built his home and store on Harbor Drive in 1840. Irvine died in 1849 and was succeeded by his son John Waddell Irvine. Irvine's grandson George Bird Howland bought the store from Waddell Irvine in 1865 and continued to run it until his death in 1895. In 1907,howland's son Raymond Waddell Howland took over the store and operated it until 1958 when it passed into private hands again. In 1906 Mayor William Leland issued a proclamation proclaiming October 11 as "John Sutter Day" in honor of the founder of Manhattan Beach who had been honored that year with a commemorative plaque at City Hall. That year also saw the founding of the Town Council which consisted of nine members pleasure seekers appointed by mayor Leland; five men from business interests (five were lawyers), three farmers (one from Alameda County), one dentist (Hermann Hesse) and one school trustee (George Tilden). It wasn't until 1911 that voters ratified an act setting up government services such as fire protection and public water supply for the town; these were gradually extended to include other services through annexation by neighboring towns over time including Menlo Park, Saratoga Springs, Palo Alto and Northridge In 1923 voters approved a measure providing for cityhood with a population of 25 thousand people but this referendum failed to pass due to opposition led by Supervisor Norman Thomas who claimed that there would be no need for more than 20 thousand people given nearby San Francisco's population growth rate of 50%. Nevertheless incorporation became effective on January 1st 1924 when all but two residents registered to vote within 72 hours following its approval via special election held pursuant to section 815(a) ofthe California Constitution which provides for incorporation by petition only if “a majority” (not less than fifty percent) Of all registered citizens signified their desire for such action>. On November 5th 1922 New York investment banker Charles Evans Hughes donated $10 000 towards construction of new civic center having seen plans drawn up by local architects Atherton & Price including one featuring a yacht moored offshore called 'Alaska' whose passengers could experience coastal life from above while ashore at various hotels etc... On January 1st 1927 New York merchant national bank director Irving Guggenheim donated another $10 000 towards completion of same project making Manhattan Beach officially incorporated as 'Manhattan Beach Corporation'. The new Civic Center opened its doors on May 3rd 1928
The Manhattan Beach area was first settled by the Tongva people, who were Native Americans. In 1775, Captain James Cook discovered and named the area Diego Garcia after his predecessor in command on HMS "Endeavor" during a mapping mission. The island was then part of Juan Fernandez Islands chain. In 1871, an act to create a new county in California was approved by the state legislature and on July 6, 1872, San Francisco County was established with Manhattan Beach as its easternmost county seat. In 1915, when Los Angeles County was created from parts of San Bernardino and Orange counties, Manhattan Beach became one of its original cities. It lost this status in 1907 when it became part of Los Angeles County proper. The last time that it had city status was in 1941 when it merged with neighboring Long Beach City to form what is now known as Long Beach City-Manhattan Beach Mayor Jerry Sanders proposed that the merger be called "Manhattan Beach-Long Beach". However, this proposal was never accepted because there already existed a city name for both towns: Manhattan Beach. The opening of Disneyland in 1959 brought more people to the area and also led to development around what is now Playland Park; much of which still persists today. The town annexed portions of Hermosa beach in 1961 and 1970 but retains its own government structure ( mayor/council). In 1984-1985, three years after annexation of Hermosa beach by Manhattanside residents referendum they formed their own municipality separate from Manhattanside - Borough of Manhattan BEACH - which still exists today as an independent municipality governed by a borough president election system
