Today much of Downtown Los Altos still retains its Early 20th century feel with brick buildings dating back to 1916 being replaced by newer structures built over time including an opera house completed in 1978 that seats 1,500 people on three levels with views across San Francisco Bay towards Point Lobon National Monument
