During the years following WWII, Ammunition Manufacturing Company produced over 350 million rounds of different types of ammunition through their various divisions including Military Antiaircraft Arms Division (MAD), Pistol Product Division (PPD), Rifle Ammunition Division (RAM), Shotgun Ammunition Division (SADD), Cartridge Factory Research Laboratories division(CFRL). In 1957 Ammo Manufacturing Company merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Corporation forming Winchester Repeating Arms & Ammunition Corporation which continued to produce military ammunition under new name until 1984 when it sold all assets back to its former parent company Winchester Repeating Arms Corporation again becoming just “Winchester Ammunition” once again!
