Lompoc, California is a city located in Northern California. It was founded on October 29, 1851 by the brothers Jedediah and Samuel Lompoc. The name arose from an earlier post office called "Lompoc" which was established in 1847. In 1909, the town became a city and still retains its original name of Lompoc. The current mayor is John Avalos and the City Council consists of 11 members. The history of target holders began in Lompoc when Jedediah and Samuel Lompoc set up a shooting club to teach marksmanship to local boys. From this beginning, target holders have been a common sight throughout Southern California as shooters enjoyed practicing their skills at various ranges throughout the community. Today, there are many range facilities across the city that offer opportunities for target holders to participate in many different activities such as NRA tournaments, skeet shoots, trap matches, etcetera. There are currently over 100 Target Hangers organizations present within Southern California with over 1200 members! These groups provide opportunity for target holders to compete in sanctioned NRA events as well as socialize with other shooters during their monthly meetups/meet-ups at various locations throughout Southern California.

Lompoc, California is a small town in the San Luis Obispo County of central California. The population was 7,873 at the 2010 census. It lies on the Pacific Coast and is part of the Santa Clara Valley region. The name Lompoc comes from Spanish "lomo" meaning "hill" and "pocos" meaning few or no. This result in a hill having only one peak, which gives it an appearance of being almost level. The name stuck and today most people in Lompoc call themselves by their first initial with no other suffixes added to indicate place of birth or occupation. Lompoc began as a small farming community that grew gradually into an important port for goods flowing up the coast from Northern California and Mexico. By 1900, Lompoc had become an important city with its own hospital, library, post office, school system and several factories that manufactured farm tools and clothing. In 1907 Lompoc became a county seat after San Luis Obispo County was created from parts of Monterey Peninsula counties. The growth of nearby Palo Alto led to competition for jobs in Pajaro Strait between Lompoc and Palo Alto's townships (then called Rancho Cordova). In 1925 Pajaro Strait was closed off completely by Army landings during World War II; as a result, large numbers of workers moved to North America without leaving their homes to find work on farms or shipyards across the ocean. These men formed what is now known as Silicon Valley's early middle class. In 1957 LompOC voters passed Measure Q which provided $10 million per year over 10 years for public schools within Los Angeles County - this money helped create Central Park (now filled with high-rise condos) in downtown LOMPOC while also creating many new businesses including Apple Inc.'s original headquarters building on First Street near Mission Bayou

Lompoc is a city in Southern California, located on the San Andreas Fault. It was founded in 1851 by brothers John and William Lompoc, and became an incorporated town in 1872. The city has a population of over 100,000 people as of 2019. Lompoc is part of the San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first European to visit Lompoc was Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo in 1542. Spanish missionaries visited the area in 1602 and 1604, but no permanent settlements were established until 1851 when brothers John and William Lompoc came across the region while exploring near here for cattle ranching ventures. In 1864, they formed a partnership with Samuel Carpintero to develop what would become their largest land grant – Rancho Atascadero y Costilla de la Vieja (Atascadero Ranch and old Costilla Ranch). The two men also partnered to open up trade along the coast from southern California through El Centro County; this venture became known as the “Lompoc Connection” because goods purchased at one store could be transported easily to other stores inland. By 1870, they had developed over 1 million acres (500 km2) of rural agricultural land throughout southern San Diego County and northern Orange County that produced foodstuffs such as wheat, barley, oats, cottonseed oil, beeswax candles and fruits like apples—all now enjoyed by locals who still farm there today. In 1912–13 Lompoc hosted its first modern Olympics; however due to World War I it did not participate because it was too close to Europe for military purposes. However following World War II it resumed Olympic participation with rising world tensions making Los Angeles more attractive for hosting future events than any other location worldwide; eventually becoming an official Olympic site after LA City Council voted 3-1 on February 7th 1959). Prior to 1959 most international sporting events were held outside of North America so by receiving formal city status from Los Angeles we helped support growth within our community during these difficult times especially given that only about 10% of all American citizens lived within city limits at that time!
