Gun targets have been a part of American history for over a century. Loma Linda University’s Gunsmith Shop has been selling and customizing guns since 1896. Our shop offers handguns, shotguns, rifles and pistols to customers in the greater Loma Linda area. We offer target practice, NRA membership dues free and other shooting activities for children and adults. In addition to our firearms services, we also sell ammunition, gun parts and accessories. Loma Linda University’s Gunsmith Shop was founded on October 12th 1896 by George Wessels as the Wesselski Arms Shop. The shop was located on the east side of campus at 301 East California Street until it closed in 1975. The shop reopened in 1976 as the Wesselski Gunsmith Shop under the ownership of Mr./Mrs./Dr.-Wilhelm Hechthammer (1910-1990). During World War II Mr./Mrs./Dr.-Wilhelm Hechthammer engaged in manufacturing firearms for military use at their home on campus (now known as “The old house on California Street”). After the war they sold their business to C&S Guns Incorporated which continued to operate it until 1984 when it became part of Loma Linda University’s Pistol Gallery/Shooting Range complex under new management until its closure in 1996. Today we offer firearm sales along with muzzleloading Firearms instruction through our pistol gallery/shooting range program offered 9am-1pm daily except Mondays when we are closed due to holiday regulations

The history of Loma Linda, California dates back to 1851 when the town was founded by Father Francisco Javier Moreno. The town rapidly grew in population and culture, and by 1870 it had become the largest settlement in Inyo County. The early years of the 20th century were a time of significant growth for Loma Linda, with new businesses opening up and residents moving into the communities. During this time, there were several major construction projects that took place in and around the town. One such project was the erection of the Overland Railroad which connected Loma Linda with San Bernardino County. Additionally, during this time, Lomas Linda experienced a period of growth as an agricultural center due to its location at an intersection where two important railroads crossed.
Loma Linda (Alameda County, California) is a university town in the Central Valley of California, about 60 miles northwest of Fresno. The population was 24,752 at the 2010 census, making it one of the most populous cities in northern California and the second most populous city in San Bernardino County. It is located on the eastern edge of Los Angeles County and is bounded by Riverside to the north and east, Orange County to the south and west, and Kern County to the north-northwest. The first white people to arrive in Loma Linda were ranch hands who landed there in 1847 on Rancho San Antonio de la Gorgona. A post office was established here in 1851, but no schools were built until 1875 when Dr. George Wills founded Loma Linda University. In 1907 it merged with nearby Pasadena City College to become Pasadena City College–Lomas Linda University (Pasadena City College). After World War II it became a major center for education for Asian Americans following participation by many Japanese American families fleeing Japan during World War II. In 1966 it became an autonomous university with its own chancellor, first woman Chancellor Grace Mengirth Johnson; after her death in 1975 it reverted back to Pasadena City Colleges status as Lomas Linda University. In 1994–1996 Loma Linda unified with Claremont Graduate School—a large private institution—to form Claremont Colleges which are now part of UCLA Bruins athletic department

Loma Linda is a small town in Los Angeles County, California. The population was 63,521 at the 2010 census. Loma Linda is one of the oldest universities in the United States and one of the most diverse, with campuses in Northern California and Southern Arizona. The first university on the site was founded as Claremont Colleges in 1887 by Beecher Stowe and his wife Lucy Stone. The college became Loyola University Chicago after being sold to Jesuit missionaries in 1903. It changed its name to Loma Linda University in 1907 following merger of two other Catholic colleges, San Diego State College (now Azusa Pacific University) and Occidental College (now Claremont McKenna College). In 1923, it merged with CSU Northridge to become CSU Riverside. In 1969, CSU Riverside became part of UC Irvine when that campus was divided between Irvine and UC Berkeley. In 1992, UCSD separated from UC Irvine and became an independent school again under its own name; however, UC Riverside continues to be affiliated with UCLA. In 2006, CSU Riverside merged with USF Polytechnic School to form USF Polytechnic Institute-Riverside Campus. On July 1st 2016 this campus merged into UCLA Bruins Today's students come from all across America but our focus remains on teaching innovative technology courses which will help shape tomorrow's economy!
In 1839, Loma Linda University was founded by Bishop George Kilgore. The university became a co-educational institution in 1869 and opened its doors to students from all over Northern California. In 1907, the university adopted the current name of Loma Linda University. In 1969, the university became an accredited college and began awarding degrees in arts and sciences. Today, Loma Linda University offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs that cover a variety of disciplines including law, business, medical science, social work, education, information technology and more.
