The GCA requires all sheriffs in California to issue Firearms Identification Certificates (FIC) to every purchaser who acquires a handgun or shotgun in the state. These certificates must list both the name(s) of the purchaser and their address(es). A copy of each certificate must be given to the sheriff at time of purchase. Sheriffs must also issue Firearms Authorization Cards (FACs) to any person who acquires a handgun or shotgun in connection with an investigation or crime involving licensed pistols, revolvers, shotguns, rifles, machineguns or destructive devices which are not exempt from registration under Section 921(a)(3), (4), (5) or other applicable law governing such firearms. FACs may only be issued if there is good cause for reasonable suspicion that someone has committed a crime using a pistol which has not been registered under another section of government code.–California Penal Code § 825 et seq., chaps 1-3

In 1916, it became one of America's first municipalities with a charter from the state government. Loma Linda University is located in downtown Loma Linda. The university offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in arts and sciences, including business administration and law enforcement administration; health sciences; information technology; education; social work; media studies; engineering; natural resources management; sociology; anthropology; history/anthropology/political science/government studies (); and theology/laughs).

Loma Linda is a small town in Inyo County, California, United States. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Alpine Valley Micropolitan Statistical Area. Loma Linda was founded in 1887 as an agricultural community on the east side of Lake Tahoe by members of the Mormon Battalion who were moving from Utah to Nevada. The town site was chosen because it had good water and land resources. The first post office opened in 1892 and remained in operation until 1907. The name "Loma Linda" arrived in 1907 when a group of men who had been traveling through California heard about it and decided to name their new town after a mountain peak near Aspen, Colorado. The men were led by George Atherton Mathers, one of Loma Linda's founders and first mayor. Loma Linda grew rapidly during its early years, becoming one of the most important agricultural communities in Northern California due to its fertile soil and well-developed irrigation systems. In 1915, Lomas Linda became incorporated as a city with a population of 10,000 people; however, this growth stalled after World War I due to lack of available money for infrastructure development or other municipal needs. In 1944, Lomas Linda won national attention when Ulysses S Grant visited for two weeks on his way home from his winter campaign trip across America and made an appearance at what would be his final public appearance before he died six months later at 79 years old at Stanford University Hospital without any public appearances scheduled for that year (he had earlier announced his retirement). That same year saw another significant event when President Franklin D. Roosevelt traveled through Inyo County on his way back from New York City; while en route he stopped over at Loma Linda Airport on December 5th to inspect some Improvements being made there which included building ramps leading up to the local airport runway which would prove very helpful during World War II with wartime shortages of airplane parts caused by the Second World War American Arms Race). During the war years many young women served in munitions plants located nearby such as Peabody Arsenal (now Oxnard battery), now Southern Californian Edison Co., plutonium plant No 446 south San Antonio Rd., presently owned by PG&E Company (18 miles NW corner Roma Ave.), Westinghouse Electric Corporation’s Rancho Seco Plant (now Shoprite Shopping Center) north Sacramento Ave., Monterrey Peninsula Ammunition Plant just outside Ofchiguatepec Canyon National Monument adjacent Mexican border towns Banning & Lancaster near Baja California Sur Province Mexico), General Electric Company’s Castle Point Naval Air Station Facility (Now Lockheed Martin Corp.) between Menlo Park & Palo Alto) along with thousands more jobs throughout Northern CA primarily clerks/typists/bookkeepers etc working service stations run by military installations like El Cajon Army Training Center(now USMCA), Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base(now Golden Gate Park), Goodyear Municipal Airport(later Northridge Airport)), Shasta Dam Recreation Area(near Redding) - all within 25 miles radius! . . so much for keeping our country running!
