In recent years, there has been a revival in industry with several new businesses opening up such as Landmark Theatre Company (formerly LACO), which opened a theatre complex in 2006; One Stop Shop serving local grocery stores; and Lincoln Elementary School District #1 closing its doors after 50 years due to budget cuts by North Hollywood Unified School District! Today, much like his hometown of Chicago during its early days when blacksmiths re-created oxen drivers' tools from old pieces of equipment found on Indian reservations through hand forging techniques not possible today due to modern materials availability - so too has LVSD#1 seen resurgence in arts & culture with some exciting venues having reopened such as Pico Rivera Arts Center & Playhouse where plays are given every other month & Hollywood Bowl open again for music concerts only 1 year ago! thru various fundraisers we have brought back almost all 4 buildings now that make up our Historic district...What started off as just 2 homes built by George & Fannie Lincoln remains one community still working hard together making something beautiful happen!
