In addition to busting open old storage buildings fulla treasure chests fulla artifacts etc., Union troops also looted entire blocks away from Market Street which servedas local trade hub prior too – resultingin general devastation wreaking havoc all around town resultantin lossof life/property etc…..this infamous day helped spur further development leading upto present day….!
