The revolver bore a resemblance to a model issued to American troops during World War I by Colt’s parent company, United States Guns Company (USG). Unfortunately for WAC, Colt pulled all of their products related to World War I due to high demand from military personnel around the world who were required to carry sidearms while on active duty. However, some pistols still bear traces of metal recovered from those war efforts including the .45 ACP revolver manufactured by WAC under license from Colt Firearms Corporation - one such specimen is currently on display at the San Diego County Museum of History & Art.
