Lemoore is a city located in Kern County, California. It was founded on November 15, 1853 by Major General Antonio L. Wood as the nucleus of what would become Kern County. The first post office was established in Lemoore on December 3, 1854. The city was incorporated on February 14, 1907. As of the 2010 census, Lemoore had a population of 91 people living in 20 residential blocks and 2 businesses. Lemoore has been home to several gun magazines over the years including Winchester Repeating Arms Company (Winchester) Magazine Manufacturing Company (WMAC), American Armory magazine company (AAA), and G&G Firearms store #1 (GGG). In 1911 during World War I Winchester started manufacturing rifles for the US military as part of their Military Ammunition Corporation program which eventually became United States Arms Corporation or USAC. These rifle companies were responsible for manufacturing rifles for both sides in World War I with Winchester producing selective-fire models and American Armory producing action-rifles and handguns such as pistols and revolvers. In 1949 WMAC merged with American Armory to form Winchester-American Armory magazine company or WAAC which continued operations until 1983 when it merged into G&G Firearms stores #1 & #2 located in Southern California to form GGGS Holdings Incorporated division of GGGGs Industries Incorporated group holding company that includes subsidiaries including Remington Arms Company, Savage Arms Company, Olympic Arms Company etc.). WAAC continued production until 1984 when it discontinued all printing operations and closed its doors forever after having produced more than 25 million rounds of ammunition between them! AAH remained operational until circa 1985 when it united with their parent company’s GI firearms subsidiary Haggar Gun Works effective October 1st 1985 known then as Haggar/American Allianz Ammo Manufacturers Incorporation division within parent company’s Shooting Industry Holding Corporation also known then as SHOTCO until its bankruptcy restructuring later that year following heavy losses fromooter sales associated with importation restrictions placed upon imported surplus firearms by various foreign governments resulting from the Iran–Iraq War era embargo instituted at that time! All three magazines mentioned above still have active printings going on today with HHK firing stocks currently being used by GWB & Sons Incorporation who produce ammo under license from both WAGMags & Winmagazines LLC)

The town started as a group ofesteaders who built their homes near the now extinct Sespe Creek. They were followed by miners and cattle ranchers. In 1881, General George Armstrong Custer made his famous trip to this area on the 6th Cavalry Regiment's attempt to drive the Sioux out of North Dakota. A large herd of buffalo that he was accompanying came down into Mexico during the trip and were never seen again. This event is generally considered to have created a new interest in this part of North Dakota Territory which led to more settlement there. In 1912, Lemoore incorporated as a city and has since grown rapidly with its many businesses including several banks and two hospital systems. Today, Lemoore is an important center for government, education and industry in Kern County with over $1 billion worth of business transactions taking place each year. Lemoore is known for its annual Bluebonnets Festival which falls on July 4th each year and features local artists exhibiting their work outdoors along with concerts by locally popular bands throughout the daylong event

It grew rapidly during World War II due to its strategic location near Los Angeles and its access to military bases. After the war, Lemoore experienced several economic downturns which led to its decline over time. However, recent improvements have led to resurgence within the community including growth in business and population. Today, Lemoore retains much of its historical significance with its lively atmosphere and rich cultural heritage. Its diverse attractions include numerous museums, galleries, theaters, restaurants and hotels; as well as a variety of outdoor activities such as skiing or hiking among others.

The town grew quickly, and by 1853 it had reached its peak population of 300 people. However, Lemoore's prosperity came at a cost: the town became isolated from the rest of California due to its location on an estuary that prevented shipping from reaching the interior. In 1881, Lemoore was incorporated as a city, but continued to experience financial problems and declined in population over the next few decades. In 1966, Lemoore was renamed after General George Custer, who had been killed during World War I in what is now Montana.
