The post office at 4th and Main streets was established in 1868 and remained open until it closed in 1954 due to lack of mail volume. Lemoore is home to two churches: St John's Lutheran Church (founded 1861) and Baptist church (founded 1865). Both churches are part of the United Methodist denomination..
