The company manufactured and sold handguns, shotguns and rifles until 1978 when it was acquired by Ithaca Guns, Incorporated In 1978, Ithaca Guns merged with Brownells Corporation to form Brownell-Ithaca Firearms Corporation which continued to manufacture handguns and shotguns under a variety of brand names until 1984 when it became Lockheed Martin Arms Corporation
Laguna Woods is a small town in San Luis Obispo County, California, United States. The population was 1,847 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Paso Robles–Carlsbad area. Laguna Woods is bordered by Carlsbad to the north and east, Huntington Beach to the south and west, and Carmel to the southwest. Laguna Woods began as a small farming community in 1898 on an agricultural land concession given by Don Vicente Gomez to his brother-in-law John A. Menneske. From 1901 until 1918 it was known as Villa Hermosa de la Costa del Lago de Santa Rosa ("Villa Hermosa of the Lake of Santa Rosa"). In 1926 Laguna Woods became an incorporated city under state law with boundaries that were enlarged in 1978 when portions of Carlsbad were annexed into Laguna Woods. In 1990 it lost its status as a city and reverted back to its original township form which has since been amended multiple times including adding much of downtown Carmel to its boundaries in 1998 The current mayor is Noel Baca who took office on November 17th, 2018 after being elected unopposed in a November 6th special election

In 1957, when Orange County was formed, Laguna Woods became an incorporated municipality with its own government and schools. Today, this quiet community - home to some 6800 residents - is located just outside of downtown Orlando on winding streets lined with palms trees amassing views of Lake Ontario across the street from Jardine & Pemberton's original estate headquarters building dating back to 1898... In 1916 John Lennon set up his first recording studio in Laguna Woods; he later moved there permanently after marrying Yoko Ono. In 1967-1968 local artist Don Was lived in Laguna Woods while working on his album Born to Die; he also composed music for Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and Super Mario Bros.. Some 20 years ago today drummer Joey Kramer played liveliest show ever at Laguna Woods Amphitheatre then headlined by Kiss...Today all these events take place within minutes' driving distance yet feel like very far away memories due entirely to great people that have made our community so special including Mayor Bob Ford who has been visionary leader over many years
The Laguna Woods area was first settled by the Ohlone people in about 4,000 BC. The first European to visit the area was Spanish explorer Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo, who sighted and landed in the lagoon on November 15, 1769. In 1821, Mexican governor Manuel Micheltorena ordered all Native Americans living within five miles of Mission San José to leave or be killed. This order led to a series of conflicts between the natives and settlers over land rights. In 1847, General Antonio López de Santa Anna appointed Colonel José Maria Gabino Jaramillo as commander of Alta California. On July 26, 1849, he issued an order that all Native Americans living within three miles of Alta California must either leave or be killed. Some 1-2 thousand natives refused to leave and were shot or burned alive as they tried to cross the bridge into Mexico. On October 9, 1850 – less than two months after Santa Ana's order – Indian fighter Joaquín Castro married Agustina Martinez y Costilla at Rancho San Miguel near present-day Atwater Village in Laguna Woods. Castro's wedding day is celebrated annually with a festive picnic Celebration known as "Castrofest" In 1862–1863, due to militia activity surrounding Fort Tejon and Jalisco City on missions San Fernando and Monterey respectively, American soldiers garrisoning Mission Concepción opened fire on unarmed Californios working along US military road north from Los Angeles under orders from General Taylor; one man died instantly from this gunfire while his wife cowered behind a tree; soon afterwards news spread throughout town that there had been an attack on our people by white foreigners which had resulted in their deaths & also caused great indignation among us because we considered ourselves 1999 Indians who had not been violated by these troops
