Today, La Quinta is home to some of Central California's oldest churches - St Peters Catholic Church (founded in 1886) and Our Lady Of Lourdes Parish (opened in 1912). Additionally, there are several businesses that remain active such as American Legion Post #521 (established 1914), Wells Fargo Bank (1923), Radio Shack (1986), TJ Maxx (2012) and Applebees restaurant locates at 510 W Main Street which opened its doors on July 1st 1951!
