La Mirada is a small town located in the SoCal region of California. The population was 7,513 at the 2010 census, down from 8,922 in 2000. La Mirada is part of the San Diego County Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name "La Mirada" comes from two Spanish words meaning "the harbour." The first word was applied to a small cove on the east coast of Santa Barbara County and the second word referred to a more general area that stretched inland from Point Loma on Santa Barbara Peninsula. The first residents of La Mirada were Mexican traders who came there in 1821 as part of an attempt by Santa Barbara County to become self-sufficient. Over time, other groups arrived: American Missionaries in 1836, Italian immigrants in 1849, Japanese Americans during World War II, and MexicanAmericans again after passage of Proposition 187 in 1992. Today's community began to form around 1928 when Captain John Woltz built a summer home on what is now known as Point Loma Boulevard. At that time, Los Angeles was still emerging as a major city and La Mirada had few permanent residents other than local fishermen and farmers. The original wooden homes were replaced by metal frames over the years but many of those structures still remain today (see photo below). In 1932 Chief Justice William Higginson donated land north of Point Loma for future development into what would eventually be called "City Park." That same year La Mirada became an incorporated municipality with autonomy from San Diego County under resolution No. 191 passed by the Board of Supervisors chaired by Mayor Harry Jahnke Sr.. In 1936 City Park was expanded southward with the addition of present-day Harbor Shore Drive between Harbor Island Road and Pacific Coast Highway; this expansion cost $1 million dollars and involved excavating more than 800 feet (240 m) beneath the surface so that new streets could be laid out parallel to those already extant within City Park boundaries. The city also constructed several parks including City Park/Harbor Shore Drive which contains beachfront properties bordering both Harbor Island Road and Pacific Coast Highway; these developments are now known as North Harbor Beach Village which includes some large modern apartments buildings close to shoreline while also providing access to several smaller beaches across Harborside Drive itself as well as through North Harbor Beach Village proper onto North Haven Avenue facing downtown LA proper where most people living near or inside City Park live nowadays; see photo below left for park boundary map circa 2006 . During World War II vast amounts of munitions were stockpiled at Rosie’s Lobster Company on Long Beach Boulevard just north across I-5 from La Miradero shopping center before being unloaded onto barges moored atcaques near Hagstrom Cove where they were burned off site – see Google Street View image below right for view prior to 1945 . In 1949 following passage via referendum Measure B (backed by organized labor) allowing voting by district rather than individual citizens for members Of The Board Of Supervisors went into effect it became possible for nonresidential property owners within district boundaries such as businessmen who operated their own businesses outside their home districts (classified then under “industrial” property) To vote not only on matters relating directlyto their business activities but also any proposed changes affecting entire districts whether they lived within them or not simply by submitting written objections thereto at least ten days before any meeting thereof either at chamber or committee levels preceding thursday night preceding its date said objections must be received no later than 10am Thursday morning leading up until 3pm Thursday afternoon thereafter said objection(s) shall be heard without debate thereby giving every voter an opportunity hear all interested parties present represented therein before taking action thereon . This system has been used ever since with slight variations . In recent years however some industrial areas have reverted back unto residential status although this continues generally speaking without incident except usually one or two very rare exceptions every five years during remodeling projects etcetera mayoral staff interpretations continue notwithstanding

The early cleaning kits typically consisted of a vacuum cleaner, bucket, brush, and soap. The brush was used to remove any dirt or debris that may have been created while arming or disarming the weapon. The bucket was filled with cold water and then the vacuum cleaner was set to low speed and allowed to idle until the bucket started sucking air out of the gun barrel. Once all of the air had been sucked out of the gun barrel, it was rinsed off with warm water before being put back in its holster or case. This process usually took around five minutes per gun. After World War II began, many new handguns were created that needed new cleaning kits specifically designed for those guns. These newer guns often came with different parts that needed to be cleaned differently than older rifles and shotguns. As such, there wasn’t a single cleaning kit that could be used on all types of handguns; instead, each person had their own specific toolkit for each type of handgun they owned.
