After the war ended, America granted citizenship to most of Mexico’s former citizens living in Alta California. La Habra remained a boomtown through most of its early years; however, World War II saw an increased demand for agricultural products due to technological advances in agriculture that made raising crops more efficient than ever before. This led to a decline in population growth throughout the postwar years as people shifted their focus towards other occupations or left Alta California altogether because of economic hardships caused by world wars II and III. However, despite these challenges, La Habra has continue to thrive as an agricultural community; currently it is home to over 50 businesses specializing in food production alone!
