The Flintridge Armory was a gunsmithing and ammunition manufacturing center located in La Canada Flintridge, California. It operated from 1892 to 1957. The armory was one of the most influential firearms manufactures in the early 20th century. The first guns manufactured at the Flintridge Armory were pistols and rifles. The company began making cartridges in 1892. They made armor-piercing rounds in 1903, and incendiary rounds in 1904. In 1907, the company produced its first automatic rifle, the M1 Garand. In 1912, they produced their own type of machinegun called the Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR). In 1914, they produced their first shotgun called the pump action shotgun/carbine. In 1922, they started producing grenades called "M1922" grenades. In 1932 they started producing revolvers called "Lafayette". From 1935 to 1937 they started producing shotguns named "Sherlock" and "Rifleman". From 1938 to 1940 they started production of handguns called "Taurus". From 1945 until 1957, the company produced shotguns named "Shane", "Pumpkin Jack", and "Tomahawk". The company also made ammunition such as armor-piercing rounds (1892), incendiary rounds (1912), smokeless powder rounds (1914), grenade launchers (1922), revolvers (1935-37), shotguns (1945-57) and handguns (1932-39).

The economy declined during the 1960s and 1970s and laCanada Flintridge lost its status as a major city during this time. However, it has regained some of its former prominence since 2000 when it became home to Silicon Valley's biggest technology company Google Inc.'s headquarters.
