Growth accelerated after the war when international travelers discovered the region's agricultural potential and began coming here to settle down close to water sources and cities such as Phoenix and Los Angeles. By the early 21st century, however, Kingsburg had begun slipping behind other Valley towns in terms of economic development and racial diversity (it has only 9% white residents compared to 60% Latino residents). 1/9/2018
