In the early 1800s, King City was a small town in Inyo County, California. Many of the residents were farmers who used firearms to protect their property and livestock from local Native Americans. During the American Revolution, many citizens in King City voted for George Washington as their president. The town's gunsmith, John Brougham, made weapons for the Continental Congress and took part in fighting against British forces. After the Revolution ended, King City became a post office and began to grow with new settlers coming to the area. By 1852, it had become an incorporated city with a population of about 3200 people. The first firearm t-shirt was printed in King City on November 16th, 1852 by Sable & Co., printers and stationers at 125 Market Street. The shirt depicted a soldier holding a rifle with ammunition belts around his waist. The shirt was sold for $1 per order and was distributed through local newspapers. "King City Rifleman" shirts were also published during this time period depicting scenes from local history such as battles or events that had occurred in the town. These series lasted until 1865 when they were replaced by "Gunfighters of America" shirts which depicted various NRA (National Rifle Association) members posing with rifles or shotguns on various occasions

King City was founded in 1849 as part of the California Gold Rush. The town name comes from General James K. Polk’s army’s encampment at the confluence of the Kings River and Sacramento River, which was called King City because it belonged to Mexico until 1848. The first post office in King City was established in 1851. In 1865, King City became a city when it annexed adjacent communities of Auburn and Rancho Cordova. In 1893, after passage of the Gun Control Act, King City passed its own ordinance regulating firearms and ammunition. The city Limits Exportation of Firearms ordinance remained in effect until 1934. In 1933, King City joined with other cities within the San Bernardino County area to form what is now Riverside County. As part of this change in government structure, Mayor Cesar Chavez moved all municipal offices from their original location on Main Street into what is now OCISD’s South Campus building on Monday Avenue (now US 101). This move eliminated any possibility thatKing City would be subjected to regional or county control over its affairs independent of those located elsewhere within San Bernardino County

King City is located in the Mojave desert, about 120 miles west of Los Angeles. The population was 8,000 in 1910 and has grown to more than 130,000 today. The city is named for the California king who ruled over it at the time of its establishment. The first people to live in King City were Yokuts Indians. A fort was built here in 1868 by Captain George Fenton during the Mexican-American War. In 1869, a post office was established here and soon became a center of trade between Native Americans and settlers on both sides of the border. In 1907, King City became an incorporated town when it ratified a resolution calling for such action by its citizens. At that time, it consisted of just a few buildings and a small number of residents. However, business grew quickly and by 1912 King City had become one of the most important towns in eastern California due to its location at the crossroads where several trails converged. A new courthouse was built in 1916 and later designated as State Capitol Building #2 due to its role as both government center for Kings County (the area now included within Los Angeles) as well as serving as home to many state legislators during their careers. During World War II, King City played an important role throughout Southern California because much military equipment was manufactured here including tanks and planes! In 1951, King City merged with nearby Cucamonga into one municipality under the name “King City–Cucamonga” effective 1 January 1952 . On 9 August 1958 Mayor John D’Angelo announced plans for what would become one of southern California’s largest shopping malls which opened officially on 2 October 1958 called “Mall Of The Desert” !! In 1978 Mall Of The Desert closed after over 40 years operation with much sadness but also some great memories!!! From then until present day there have been no major changes or updates to this iconic mall!!!!

In an interview with Spin magazine, Lifeson said about his then 8 year old self: "I remember I wanted my very Own Guns n’ Ammo store just so I could buy all kinds of guns - revolvers, shotguns...all kinds - just so I could shoot them." This quote is from an interview with frontman Alex Lifeson about his childhood

King City is a city in Fresno County, California, United States. The population was 25,723 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fresno Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name King City comes from Anglo-Californian rancher and politician John Sutter who founded the town in 1859 on land he obtained from Ygnacio Fontana for $1 per acre. The first post office opened in 1859, and the first store was built in 1861. The town grew rapidly after settlers arrived, with a population of 100 by 1875. By 1889, King City had an estimated population of 1,500 people. In 1911, when it became part of the city of Fresno, King City's population reached 5,000 people. During World War II, King City played an important role as a munitions manufacturing center for the war effort. In 1944–1945 it was hit hard by air raids; buildings were destroyed and many residents were killed or injured during these raids. However soon afterwards things began to improve; production returned to normal and there have been no further attacks since then (although some homes do still suffer occasional vandalism). Today King City is home to a number of businesses including two grocery stores (Bargain Basket Supermarket and Family Fare), three restaurants (Hi-Cities Chinese Buffet & Grill, Aqua Chinese Garden & Japanese Sushi Bar & Lounge and BBQ Palace), four convenience stores (Albertsons Pharmacy Group Grocery Store - anchor store), two hotels (The Renaissance Hotel and Holiday Inn Express) as well as several thousand resident households that occupy over 60 buildings within its limits either single family homes or multi-family dwellings clustered around shopping malls/arteries serving both local businesses and outlying communities within Fresno County

King City is a city in Imperial County, California, United States. The population was 11,431 at the 2010 census. It is the seat of King City Unified School District. The first permanent settler in King City was David Ramsay in 1859. A post office called King City was established in 1861, and remained open until it closed in 1906. In 1870, George Prentice located a discovery claim near present-day downtown King City on the north bank of the Sacramento River. By 1872, development around this Claim had begun with the erection of a battery to power an early wagon road from Sacramento to Redding (now Roseville). King City became incorporated as a city on February 6, 1901. On December 12, 1909 Katella High School opened its doors for boys after being built on land donated by Mrs. Gertrude "Gussie" Weems and her husband Clarence Weems. On November 30th of that year business hours were extended until 7pm for all citizens of King City during World War I due to quickly increasing demand for war supplies from 8am to 7pm! In 1916 the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute began research into Bayer's new vaccine against smallpox at their campus which would lead to world fame! Kaiser Wilhelm also contributed $10K towards school construction and more than 1/3 of total cost! In 1922 Kingsport Airfield opened just south of town limits when Leland Stanford Junior Airport opened nearby! Today you can find some remnants of what would have beenKingsport AFB including hangars and runway remains today along SR-249 just east of town limits! In 1933 Mayor Cady set up a water system that delivered water 24 hours a day instead of 3 days per week as then prevailing practice!!! He also ordered all businesses within city limits to get shut down so that work could be done on setting up our own water system!!! When it came time for voters to ratify metropolishood they approved it by an overwhelming margin!!!!! COVIN DAVIDSON FOUNDED KING CITY HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!
