By the end of the 18th century,binoculars had become very popular among Englishmen because they could be bought cheaply in markets across Europe. It was during this time that people began to think about how best to use these devices so they could provide better views while on walks or hikes etc.. In 1865, George Stephenson invented what is now known as an eyeglasses frame for using binocals which allowed people to see clearly even in low light conditions. This innovation made it possible for many people to enjoy reliable views from high up in stadiums or other places where there was no natural light source available elsewise! During World War II, British soldiers were often issued with pairs of binocals so they could see further away than other soldiers on battlefields due to Allied Fighter aircraft's limited range at that time! King City is a small city in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 1,324 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fresno metropolitan area. In 1853, it was founded by Captain Edwin King and his wife Mary Ann King as a trading post on the San Joaquin River for sheep and cattle. The town became known for its chrysanthemums and other azaleas which were grown there. In 1892, King City was incorporated as a city under the California Constitution. It was named after then-Governor George Bancroft of California because he had championed cityhood for Kingsville. In 1922, King City annexed portions of Stockton to form a new city government. In 1955, however, when Kern County merged with neighboring Stanislaus County to form California's Central Valley region, Kingsville lost its status as an independent municipality and became one of the many towns in that newly formed county. On July 8, 1957 Mayor Jesse Fenton organized a referendum to secede from Kern County and become an unincorporated community within Fresno instead; only 4 percent of ballots cast voted in favor of secession (out of a total population of 753). It has since rejoined the Fresno metropolitan area as one of its constituent cities Kingsville is located just east of Interstate 5 on Highway 99 south-southeast from downtown Fresno
