The history of bipods can be traced back to the early days of Inglewood. In 1881, a man named George Fenton bought a piece of land in what is now Inglewood and started to build a cabin. He named his new home "Bipod." The first bipods were made from logs that had been cut down on the property. In 1916, George Fenton's grandson, Clifford Fenton, bought the land that now makes up Inglewood and continued to make bipods. Clifford Fenton was also responsible for building the first gym in Inglewood. It was at this time that bipods began being used as an outdoor tool for walking and running. Today, there are many different companies that make bipods. Some of these companies include Butterscotch Bipedal Pty Ltd., Geary-Pope Bipedal Pty Ltd., and North Face Bipedal/Snowshoe Co., among others. Inglewood is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The population was 82,245 as of the 2000 census. It is the second-largest city in Los Angeles County after downtown Los Angeles and it is part of the Greater LA area. In 1871, when San Gabriel Valley was divided into three counties—Alameda, Ventura, and Kern—Inglewood was one of four towns formed within Alameda County. The other towns were Canoga Park (now part of Pasadena), El Monte, and Monrovia. The name "Inglewood" originated from an English grantee named Ingelow who settled there in 1868. He traced his ancestry back to John Inglewot (died 17th century) who came to this region with his family from Northumberland in England. For many years until after World War II, most residents called their town "Granada". However, starting in the late 1940s they began calling their town by its original name: "Inglewood". On April 15, 1912–the hundredth anniversary of Spanish settlement in Southern California–Los Angeles City Council adopted Resolution No. 5952 giving Residents of all sections/ Lots within said limits a voice in formulating plans for further development or beautifying said areas... accordingly on that date all streets within said limits were renamed according to their original Anglo names: Granada Street through Echo Park Heights and eastward thence to Aviation Boulevard whereupon Ridge Road became Elmhurst Avenue; La Brea Avenue became Hollywood Boulevard; Willowbrook Boulevard became Central Avenue; Victory Boulevard became Vermont Avenue." In 1923 Mayor James Monell proclaimed September 25th as "National Hispanic Day" in honor of all Hispanics living or having resided therein at that time... On October 3rd Director Harry Laughlin presented Mayor Monell with a gift basket containing 100 Texas-made rifles which had been donated by Mexican American Citizens League president Victor Valdez... Present also at the presentation were Mrs Emilio Martinez (president emeritus), Manuel Ortiz (vice president emeritus), ranchero José Rosales Gomez (presidential delegate from Baja California), vice mayor Alfonso Reyes (vice mayor Emeritus). It should be noted that while much has changed since then – Latinoertainment has exploded here – some things have not budged such as the naming of Streets for specific landmarks like Hollywood Blvd., Vermont Ave., etcetera after Anglo Names rather than their current Latina/o namesakes

Inglewood is a city located in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California. It was first settled in 1853 by Englishman Major George W. Smith, who named it for his estate, Inglewood Forest. The city's current boundaries were established in 1907 when they were annexed by Los Angeles. In recent years, Inglewood has seen a resurgence as an important cultural and commercial center within the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Inglewood was founded on December 14, 1853 by Major George W. Smith with the intention of settling a small rancho that he had purchased from José María Cámpora at the junction of what are now Ventura and La Brea Avenues. The original town site consisted of only about 150 acres (60 hectares). After eight months of construction, Smith's force arrived at the new town on January 6, 1854 and began to build their homes and stores. permanent residents started arriving during the next year or so, primarily Anglo-Americans from nearby Pasadena and South Gate villages. The town rapidly grew into a bustling community with brick buildings, two churches (the First Methodist Episcopal Church (later Hollywood Presbyterian) and Christ Episcopal Cathedral), two schools (one for boys and one for girls), three breweries – one belonging to Captain John Sutter brewery co-founded by Samuel Goldwyn – six shops including three groceries/butchers stores, four post office facilities including one serving as the first mail service in Southern California – sixteen residential blocks - each measuring 30 feet wide × 60 feet deep × 2 stories high - many with attached garages - twelve Masonic Lodges - two professional theaters – both benefit societies - several wagon trains carrying goods overland arrived every week during its early years; some 45 families lived there at various points during its first ten years." As local businesses prospered, residents began to demand more services such as water supplies, sewers, streetlights and electricity. On July 15th 1870 voters passed an ordinance establishing a Board of Health which provided for public health education and maintainedattrains for horses used for transportation within the city limits
Inglewood began as a small agricultural town in San Bernardino County, California. The first settlers were Spanish Missionaries who arrived in 1821. In 1865, the United States bought land from the Mexican government and built the towns of Fullerton and Valencia. On December 12, 1871, Inglewood became an incorporated city with a population of 710 people. In 1942, during World War II, Inglewood was one of the original cities to become a bombing target due to its strategic location as a supply and transport hub for aircraft factories in Southern California. In 1990, Inglewood was renamed Gardena after then-Mayor Edward J. Guinard donated $50 million to create Gardena Park in memory of his late wife Eleanor Roosevelt.
