Huntington Park, CA is a city located in Orange County, California. The population was 153,876 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Orange County. The city is bounded by the cities of Anaheim and Huntington Beach on its east side and Riverside on its west side. The first Europeans to settle in this area were Dutch traders who arrived in 1769. They called this part of Silicon Valley "Nieuwoudt". Over time, other groups began arriving here as well: Scottish Presbyterians in 1825 and Californio Mexicans in 1848. By 1860, there were over 100 people living hereabouts - most of whom came from New England or Great Britain. In 1881, American General John Custer fought at Battle of Bear River against Chief Sitting Bull and his Sioux Nation Native Americans near present day Hayward Area (then part of Contra Costa County). This event is often cited as one of the biggest battles ever fought on American soil - it ended with General Custer's death and several hundred injuries for both sides combined (including many civilians). After General Custer's death, his troops burned down all but a few buildings at Fort Point during their march back home - leaving behind a large swath of destruction across southeastern California which still exists today as part of Googleplex Central Square Complex
