Downtown still retains a large amount of retail/commercial space although much has been replaced by new development over time including several hotels/motels along Main Street betweeniren Avenue and Broadway Avenue just north of Interstate 5 exit 208B (now called "Broadway Avenue South"), home to many big box stores such as Macy's, Sears etc., while also housing two hospitals - one operated by Kaiser Permanente - both within walking distance from downtown main streetscape areas that are pedestrian friendly with plenty available parking nearby throughout day or overnight hours especially during off peak times like Christmas or New Year's Eve when restaurants close early because they do not receive government funding for food services related to these events...
