It's been through a lot of abuse, including being dropped, stepped on, and even shot at ( Thankfully not too close). It still looks new and performs like new. I'm pretty sure that if it ever needed to be fixed or replaced it would have been done without any problem.
Hemet is a small, unincorporated community in Kern County, California, United States. It lies at an elevation of 1,866 feet (547 m). The community has a post office with the ZIP code 93634. Founded in 1887 by Anglo-Mexican settlers as part of the San Joaquin Valley Project, Hemet quickly became one of the most important centers in southern Kern County. The town was reached by stagecoach from Yreka on Decatur Creek and then walked or took wagons to the old missions and mills there. By 1898, when water supplies were improved and freight trains stopped running through the valley due to new railroad construction south of Hemet, business began to grow rapidly thanks to goods brought overland from San Francisco. By 1907, more than 100 people lived in Hemet; by 1920 it had grown to over 200 and had its own School District. In 1932 a fire destroyed much of the town center but not before many businesses had been built including a Post Office and Bank. After World War II development increased as farming also grew more mechanized; however cotton production fell after Elimination of Bighorn Sheep Problem (1948), which ended crossbreeding program begun by US Department of Agriculture during war years for fear that some sheep would carry bovine diseases back into America The population peaked at 2238 in 1960 following passage of state law allowing annexation of neighboring communities such as Arroyo Seco and Twain Harte In 1970 census counted only 232 residents living within city limits
