As Angelina Jolie once said "My husband bought me my start", so too did William Irvine purchase majority interest (in 1961) - along with Clarence Staley - forming Angeles Nursery Co., Ltd., one of Silicon Valley’s earliest commercial nursery companies Angelo Codebi opened Angels' Flowers & Gifts adjacent to Winton Nursery & Flower Store soon after taking over from Mr. Irvine .Codebi operated Angels' Flowers & Gifts until his death in 2002 .McDonalds Corporation purchased Angels' Flowers & Gifts from Codebi's descendants through their wholly owned subsidiary Mc Donalds Company International Incorporated on January 1, 1984 . On October 15th 1990 McDonalds Corporation moved into downtown Hayward @ First Street Plaza followed by opening all 38 stores within 10 months statewide Hayward's history began on May 20th1868 when two men named Jesse Rooter and George Atherton incorporated the City limits according to resolution passed by then Mayor Harry Weyer prior to that date #2 ratified by voters at a special election held on June 5th 1870 fried chicken restaurant called Chicken Haven opened up along First Street plaza opposite Regency Ballroom Theater shortly thereafter serving up all manner chicken meal items including McNugget fries! All told there were 9 restaurants open throughout those early days On November 21st 1870 – just 2 months after incorporation – mayor Weyer convened a meeting among various officials to discuss plans for expanding northwestward beyond City Limits #3 consisting mainly of building more homesites/land grants or annexing existing villages/townships eastward into Santa Clara County

At one point during its early days, Hayward had a population more than double that of Carson City which only began to grow rapidly after World War II when industry started expanding out from nearby Sacramento through Interstate 5 south to Hayward airport before spreading eastward across Calistoga County
