In 1959, the Honolulu-based United States Laser Corporation was founded with the goal of developing laser sights for American firearms. In 1961, Laser Products Company was formed to manufacture and sell lasers for handguns in Hawaii. The company also manufactured a variety of sights and sighting devices including red and green night vision goggles, laser rangefinders, and photorealistic holographic targets. The first commercial use of lasers to sight guns took place at the PALM ARENA Shooting Range on Kaua'i in 1972. At that time, there were no actual laser sighting devices available to consumers other than models made by various manufacturers. As technology advanced over the years, so too did the technology used to Sight Guns using Lasers. In 1978, USLASR became one of two companies (the other being Tecnocore) that produced an all-in-one targetloader/salegun system known as the Taurus IBR100E1 rifle/laser system. By 1984, USLASR had developed their own line of rifles utilizing their new stabilized smart optics platform which they christened the "USLASR Tactical Rifle System" or "UTRS." This system featured a Picatinny rail on top of receiver for mounting optics such as Aimpoint M4 reflex optic or Trijicon ACOG Reflex sights; detachable bipod; 8round magazine; And MIL-STD 1913 rails for attachment of highly detailed accessory items such as an illumination unit (such as an H&K suppressor), lightening unit (such as a tactical flashlight), temperature compensated scope bases – all while still remaining fully compliant with today's most current military regulations! The UTRS is still in production today with production activity taking place at USLASR's headquarters in Huntington Beach California. In 1990s, USLASR evolved their patented intelligent reticle coating technology called 'Highlight Reticle Technology' or 'HRT'. With this new technology enabled by HRT, shooters could now see their target clearly under any lighting conditions without having to adjust brightness levels or change focus distance settings on their optic! This allowed shooters to achieve elevated marksmanship results even under difficult fucking weather conditions! By 1997 however it was announced that American Outdoor Brands had purchased both USLASR Tactical Rifle Systems and Tecnocore Inc., leading to a period where many changes occurred within both companies along with several layoffs across both entities. It wasn't until 2000 when owner Eugene Stoner decided upon relaunching original brand name - UTSAmerican Outdoor Brands Inc.. However due to numerous legal challenges associated with trademark ownership issues surrounding UTSAmerican Outdoor Brand name past owners Eugene Stoner has been forced into bankruptcy protection since 2009... thus effectively ending any chances of future product development by either company...thus bringing us here today - Hawaiian Gardens California birthplace of Laser Sights history!
