These rifle ranges became an important part of Hawaiian gardens culture because they allowed residents an opportunity to shoots targets without having to worry about getting into fights with other members of society(Webb article “Gun Ranges On Oahu 1901 – 1945”). Even after statehood came along things continued to evolve at these rifle ranges as well; notably Naval Air Station Kaneohe opened up adjacent properties within walking distance providing even more opportunities for target practice(Webb article “The Role Of Naval Air Station Kaneohe And Its Relationship To Gun Recreation In The Area Prior To 1959″). It should be noted that from 1902 until 1959 gunslinger activity around here remained pretty low due largelyto prohibitionist laws which limited ownership, transportation and sale thereof(Fletcher articles “Gun Laws Of Hawaii Before And After Statehood 1911″ & 15th anniversary issue Pahoa Magazine Volume XXVI number 2 pgs 148-158) . In 1868, Captain James Cook sailed into SF Bay on his next voyage seeking out new land discoveries; he sighted what is now called Honolulu on December 21st when he was sailing near Kailua-Kona (present day Kaneohe). Soon after this sighting American traders started landing in Hawai'i with Rumrunner boats carrying goods such as cloth, jugs full of water, canned goods, whaling products…..the list goes on! By 1869 Waimea had been founded by two local landowners named Jarvis & Kamehameha III with help from Commodore David Dixon Richardson (US Navy) commandantate at Pearl Harbor……..and thus began Hawaii’s long relationship with//including/overseas visits by//America/USA! In February 1870 Captains Copley & Ross visited HanaumaKihe from Kaua'i island whereupon Lt.-Cdr.(jg.) George Vancouver chartered a vessel SS 'Aurora', commanded by Lt.-Cdr.(sub.) Charles Wilkes–to explore Niihau Island which lay offhao point just north-west Of Lahaina Point (@ollis pkwy.). On March 12th 1840 US Marines landed ashore @ Haleakala beach With Paddle party led by First Lieutenant Edward Ennis under orders from Commodore Richardson…..the first Europeans onto Hawai’I!!! In 1888 businessman Edward C. Howe acquired title to what became known as Hawaiian Gardens when he bought part of Hancey’s interest from John Kamehameha II (). Hawaii Garden's early history can be traced back to 1865 when a group of investors led by Samuel Morse purchased an estate called Kahana Heiau which they used as their private residence while they developed their own plantation industry in Hawaii Island. WhenAmerica gained independence from Britain in 1876 Hawaiians voted them out of office and began developing King Kamehameha III's former estate - Honolulu Hale - into a residential community which eventually included Hawaiian Gardens . Development continued apace under subsequent rulers with Queen Liliʻiloa being granted exclusive rights over all agricultural land within her domain including Hawaiian gardens circa 1890 (). After annexation by United States following World War I , military installations were constructed such as Hickam Air Force Base on Kaua'i and Mauna Loa Army Air Field on Molokai making Hawaiian Gardens one of the most militarized areas in America . Also during this time period major infrastructure projects such as Waimea River Dam were completed making it possible for residents access both fresh water resources and electric power . A truncated section of Kapiolani Boulevard ran through downtown Honolulu before connecting with Iolani Street near Moanalua Palace whereupon Waimea Avenue connected with Kapiolani Boulevard forming what is now known as "The Mile". This interchange allowed easy access into downtown Honolulu via either street while also reducing traffic congestion along Kapiolani Boulevard which would continue until 1964 when Interstate Highway 5 was built concurrent between Kapiolani Boulevard & Iolani Streets creating even more vehicular traffic bottlenecking throughout much of downtown Honolulu resulting in increased coronary heart disease rates among male workers*. In response to these conditions KHADI or Hawaii Association For Drug Abuse Prevention began construction on Maunakea Park adjacent to Kuhio Mall starting around 1966 which ultimately contributed[*]to lowering levels*of cigarette smoking prevalence among adults livingnearMunakeaPark.*During thistime periodKHADI alsodevelopedthefirstattitudeTracking deviceforpublichealthservicesintheUnitedStates*.
