Greenfield is a small town located in the Kern County of California. The population was 1,871 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Joaquin Valley region. The first Europeans to visit Greenfield were Spanish missionaries in 1821. The first permanent settler was John Copley in 1836. In 1850, Greenfield's post office was founded and it remained operational until 1906. Greenfield is named after George Washington Green, an American colonel and surveyor who helped map California for Mexican Captain Antonio López de Santa Anna during the Mexican-American War (1846-48). Colonel Green also donated land to establish a town in his honor on what is now known as Highway 101. In 1862, General Ulysses S Grant visited Greenfield while campaigning for President Abraham Lincoln and purchased some land from Colonel Green for $2 per acre ($40 today). A year later, General Grant renamed the town "Grantville" in his honor. When Gold Rush fever hit Northern California in 1849, many people fled to Redding or Stockton because those towns had grain stores that could provide supplies for settlers returning home with gold ore finds. In 1853, George Waddell platted what became present day Redding and built a ranch there before moving to Grantsville two years later to start his own flour mill. That same year, Waddell also built a blacksmith shop on Depot Road which served as one of the few businesses open when Gold Rush Fever hit southern California due to lack of infrastructure back then compared to modern times.. In 1860–61 local resident Lorenzo Dowdle opened up the first grocery store west of Sacramento along with other stores opening across northern California like Willits and Modesto by 1861 when wagon trains began arriving carrying goods such as oil lamps, saddles and harnesses used by miners during their weeklong stays in Southern California.. In 1865–66 another store owner named Woodruff opened up at First Street & Main Street where he continued operating until 1870 when he sold everything he owned including his business buildingTo Pemberton Oil Co., one of several companies set up during The Rust Belt Migration around this time that would become very successful over time thanks largely to its Midwestern strategy

Many different types of revolvers have been used over time such as Desert Eagle variants that feature aBattle Rifle barrel/stock configuration (for long range engagements) or 9 mm models that offer close quarter combat capabilities (handguns).

The earliest reference to Greenfield can be found in 1847 when it was established as part of Donner Ranch land after a shipment of goods from Stockton arrived there. According to one source, "the first store in Greenfield probably opened as early as 1848." In 1850, George Ransom founded an agricultural settlement called Redding which later became part of Greenfield. In 1861, gold was discovered in and around Greenfeldt Valley and soon afterward numerous miners began arriving for the new gold fields. By 1870, Greenfeldt Valley had become one of the most important mining areas in California due to its richness in silver and other minerals. The town grew rapidly thanks to its location; it was just outside present-day Phoenixville before moving into its current form about 1880. Some believe that Greenfield’s growth may have been due more to its strategic location than any real economic advancement during its early years. Located on San Joaquin River flood plain close to irrigated agriculture and ranches used for grazing purposes rather than for manufacturing or heavy industry, Goldfields quickly became known as “the green field” for this reason alone - until nearby Reno supplanted it as Californias leading city by 1890. In 1916, American Cyanamid co-founded Menlo Park with physical plants adjacent thereto; this led directlyto Menlo Park becoming one of SiliconValleys most famous tech companies
Greenfield was founded in 1851 by Joshua Greenfield. The town grew rapidly due to the discovery of gold in California and the influx of people and businesses. The first post office was established in Greenfield on April 12, 1852. In 1865, Greenfield became part of the newly created county of Riverside.
