Glendora is a city in Imperial County, California, United States. The population was 20,241 at the 2010 census. Glendora is located on the east side of San Gabriel Mountains and it is bordered by Pasadena to the north and west and Redondo Beach to the south. Glendora was founded in 1887 by James Haughton as a small community near what is now downtown Glendora. Over time, the community became known for its agricultural exports such as oranges and grapes; thus, it prospered until World War II when Glendora’s economy shifted to manufacturing due to wartime needs in aircraft production and other areas of heavy industry. In recent years, Glendon's economy has grown again through tourism with its many golf courses, waterfalls, lakeside resorts and schools that offer swimming or fishing opportunities for both kids and adults. The city's namesake came about because John Sutter first recommended settlement in what are now Imperial County on account of his discovery of gold there in 1848. On November 5th 1887 (the same day that James Haughton founded Glendon), Twelfth Regiment Californian Volunteers under Captains George Wickersham & William Brougham attacked Los Angeles Mission from behind enemy lines southwest of present-day Sherman Oaks; they were successful enough in taking two buildings but lost all their equipment including their cannons which were captured by Mexican Army regulars led by General Antonio López de Santa Anna who then moved them across the border into Alajuela County where they remain to this day as part of Mexico City's old military arsenal still situated just outside Eagle Rock today. Captain Wickersham received state honors for his exploits at La Paloma Hill which locals continue refer to locally as "Wickersham Hill." A plaque marks this spot within walking distance of local grocery store today called The Soldiers' Museum which offers displays on various aspects associated with early California gold prospecting including artifacts from nearby El Cajon Mines where rich red sandstone was mined before becoming part of modern-day Riverside County

However, after years of failed attempts to get their hands on the handgun, they finally received it back in 1902 - seventeen years after its purchase! In spite of this long delay, however,Chicago eventually won their case against Dolan and were able to take back their weapon with new serial numbers. This event is often cited as the first recorded instance where a gun was successfully returned without having to go through an official process like registration or delivery (although it technically occurred days before!). A much more recent example from America comes from 1984-85 when two adults by the name of Anthony Jablonski and Denise Young attempted to steal three handguns from an apartment complex in suburban Detroit. After unsuccessful attempts at breaking into the building using brute force and getting into through windowspaneholes disguised as shower cisterns, they turned themselves in to police officers who found four firearms inside an unlocked safe at Jablonski's home. The fact that these handguns had not been used recently or even remotelyationally for well over two decades made them particularly valuable possessions for police detectives investigating these events – something that typically doesn't happen with firearms seized during criminal investigations! Glendora is a small town in San Bernardino County, California. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. The first European settlers in what is now Glendora were Frenchmen who came to the area in 1821 looking for land to clear and sell near present-day Pomona. In 1824, a group of Englishman and Americans founded what would become Glendora as a rancho (a Spanish word meaning "ranch"). The original name for the community was Indian Wells Village but it changed to its current name in 1868 when City Council decided that all local names should be anglicized before they could be taken down by patentees or developers who wanted to build businesses there. The first post office opened in 1875 and remained open until 1915; it was renamed Glendora after James A. Glendon, an American lawyer who had been instrumental in helping create the city of Los Angeles. After leaving office as mayor of Los Angeles in 1916, he donated $5,000 towards building a new post office which became operational on December 12th that year. In 1847, General Antonio north of Glendora formed El Cajon County and named it for his birthplace, Caracas, Venezuela. The first post office was established in 1852. The town grew rapidly due to its location near ranchos and mines. By 1870, Glendora had a population of over 1,000 people and consisted of two churches, three schools, two stores, a brewery, a hotel and several homes. In 1876 the city was renamed after James A. Garfield who had been president of America at the time. The population decreased during World War II but increased again after the war because of new energy sources such as agriculture and industry.
