Many old buildings were used as military barracks until they re-opened as civilian housing units after the war ended on September 2nd 1945; however many historic details such as Doig's store remain largely unaltered to this day including its red neon sign listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1966! In 1957, Glendonria voted against becoming an official city Limits due to concerns about annexing other municipalities without proper consideration or review from City Council members; however they complied with annexation requests from Pomona (to the south) and Claremont (to the northwest). As a result of this vote, both cities now share a single Comprehensive Plan for all residents within their respective boundaries which includes plans for education and economic development! Glendora started as a post office in 1881 and became an agricultural center. The city's first store was opened in 1893. In the 1920s, Glendora developed into a major center for education with two high schools and two colleges. The city was also home to the nearby General Electric plant until it closed in 1984.
