This move away from plastic materials was meant as a way to reduce potential problems associated with deprecated manufacturing processes and safety concerns surrounding traditional aluminum-based handguns like AK47s and 9mm Glock pistols. As part of this effort, Glock also began developing a new assembly process for upper receivers known as "Glock Build". This process involved welding individual pieces together so that they could be formed into an integrated unit without having any screws threading through them (i.e., they could be constructed completely out of metal). Assembling an upper receiver using this method is much more difficult than simply attaching screws directly to each component like traditional Upper Receiver assemblies do; it requires some level of competence in firearm repairs/assembly/shooting in order to achieve satisfactory results. However, as long as users are familiar with howto do these tasks correctly, it is possible to build an extremely reliable upper receiver using Glock Build techniques over time.

The first person toClaim land in Glendoras was Manuel Nieto on January 21, 1825. By 1830 most of the original Spanish settlers had left for various reasons: political instability in Mexico City; Featherston’s victory at Buena Vista; or economic hardship caused by overgrazing on their confiscated rancho lands east of Los Angeles (the so-called Rancho Seco Massacre). A few remaining families continued to live in Glendora until 1840 when they all moved southward due to Typhoid fever which swept through Orange County during that year's Governor Coy Ruiz's Assumption campaign tour across Southern California
