Century Arms Corporation continued to produce firearm products until 1984 when it ceased operations due to financial problems. Today there are several rifle stocks companies existing in California; however, only one is still active: Gardena Tactical Arms Association Inc., which produces firearms for personal use and hunting purposes only.

Gardena is a small town in the San Joaquin Valley of California, east of Fresno. It is part of the Fresno–Salinas, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 9,463 at the 2000 census. Gardena is located on Hwy 4 (Old US 66) between I-5 and I-580. Since 1861 when it was founded as "Doris", Gardena has been an agricultural center with a large dairy farm and two ranches that grazed sheep and cattle. The post office was established in 1872, and the first store opened in 1903. In 1916, Community College opened a campus here for women which became one of the largest in California. After World War II, Gardena began to grow as a bedroom community for nearby Fresno with its new shopping malls and highways connecting it to other parts of California. However, because much of its economy rested on agriculture it deindustrialized during the late 1990s recession; this led to Neighborhood Development Corporation's effort to revitalize Gardena by creating new businesses around old residences within walking distance of each other. The current downtown area along State Street began getting development about 10 years ago when developers started developing subdivisions called Park Place which fronts onto State Street from 3 sides including into residential areas just south of where Interstate 5 meets 7th Avenue/Hwy 4 making up most or all of what is now Downtown Gardena - until you reach Harbor Boulevard which runs along side Harbor Drive so if you are looking out towards Downtown from any direction then you are looking out into Residential neighborhoods!

Gardena was founded in 1907 by James A. Gardner and his wife Lillie Mae as an agricultural town. The name "Gardena" comes from the Spanish word for "garden." The city's ZIP code is 91422 and it is part of Orange County. Gardena was incorporated on December 15, 1907 and became a city on January 1, 1912. The original inhabitants were Italian immigrants who had come to southern California in search of agriculture land. After years of progressivism and liberalism that brought about social changes in the area, organized crime began to take hold in Gardena during the 1970s when gangs such as Crips and Bloods competed for control over local drug dealers. In recent years, garden-variety gang activity has largely dissipated; however there have been occasional skirmishes between rival gangs that have occasionally resulted in injuries or property damage. Despite this past violence, many people here still consider themselves proud Californians who embrace diversity and openmindedness even if they do not condone all aspects of modern day gang life. Today's residents are diverse with origins from around the world: Englishmen (the majority), Italians (some) Mexicans (many), Asians (recent arrivals), African Americans (largely descendants of slaves brought over after the American Civil War), Jews (from Reform Judaism), Hindus (mostly from India), Australians (. . .) Asians make up more than half of all residents; everyone else is made up primarilyof Caucasians or Latinos or other non-Caucasian groups
Gardena was founded in 1892 by two brothers, George and Solomon Gardena. The Gardenas were farmers who decided to move their business to town after discovering a great demand for fresh produce in the area. They soon became successful and opened a grocery store, vegetable stand, and bakery. In 1916, they added a home-made ice cream parlor which continues to be open today. In 1922, the Gardenas purchased land north of town and began to build what is now known as The Lawn Tennis Club. The club has been hosting international tennis tournaments ever since.
