In 1915, Garden Grove became the first city in California to establish a municipal shooting range. The Municipal Shooting Range was located on the east side of town near where Pico Boulevard and Euclid Street intersect today. It was built by City Manager William Fenton to better serve the community’s gun enthusiasts. The Municipal Shooting Range was used for target practice and target shooting until 1948 when it closed due to budgetary constraints. The Municipal Shooting Range reopened in 1951 as a 9-hole rifle range with an additional 3-hole shotgun range in 1967. In 1974, the City Council voted to build a $4 million dollar pistol range adjacent to the existing rifle range. The Pistol Range opened in 1976 and is currently home to both rifle and pistol ranges. Today, Garden Grove remains one of the most active communities in support of firearm safety and regulation within California’s borders. Our volunteer gun clubs offer memberships that allow them access to over 1,500 hours of shooting at various ranges across our city limits. The Garden Grove Shooting Target Holder History can be traced back to the early 1900s when a group of friends pooled their money and founded the Garden Grove Rifle Club. The club enjoyed success at shooting ranges throughout the city, allowing them to improve their skills and sharpen their aim. In 1925, the club became an incorporated organization and adopted a new name-the Garden Grove Shooting Association. The association continued to thrive until the early 1940s when World War II intervened and affect gun control in California. As a result, many of the shooting associations in California closed down or changed their name to avoid confusion with those that were still active during the war.
Garden Grove, California is a city located in Orange County, California. The population was 78,612 as of the 2010 census. It is the largest city in Orange County by population and second-largest city in the county after Anaheim. Garden Grove was incorporated on February 20, 1907. The original name for Garden Grove was Orchard Park. The City of Garden Grove was formed from a merger of two adjacent towns: Orchard Park and Westminster. At first it consisted only of a small area near downtown with about 100 residents. However, over time the City grew to encompass much more territory including parts of west Orange County and east Irvine County as well as portions of downtown Santa Ana and Newport Beach. Garden Grove has always been an important center for business and industry because its location makes it easy to access ample highways and transportation corridors which make it possible to export goods and services to global markets without having to drive long distances or wait long periods for deliveries. Additionally, its proximate location made it easy for businesses to expand their operations into new areas such as Burbank, Riverside (west), Costa Mesa (east), Irvine Spectrum Centre (north) and North Hollywood (south). This growth has led to increased competition among businesses who must provide high-quality products at competitive prices or risk being outcompeted by larger rivals across multiple geographic regions

Shooting target holders have been around for a long time, and there are different types of them that are perfect for different purposes. The first Shooting Target Holder was created in 1884 by the American company Winchester Arms Company. It was designed as an attachment for shotguns that allowed shooters to shoot targets from a distance. The holder consisted of two parts: the stock and the platform. The platform was made out of wood and had two legs that were connected by a crossbar. On top of the platform, there was an adjustable tripod mount that allowed shooters to position their targets in any way they wanted. In 1948, Rifleman magazine published an article about using Shooting Target Holders with bolt action rifles. This system allowed users to hold their rifles in three different positions: down-range, center-of-mass (CoM), or off-center-of-mass (OAM). This system became known as “3Gun” because it allows users to fire multiple rounds at once without having to worry about hitting their target multiple times from different angles. Since then, Shooting Target Holders have been used extensively by experts across all types of rifle cartridges including airguns and shotguns. Garden Grove is a city in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 26,855 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Anaheim–Tulare–Pacoima Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first people to live in Garden Grove were the Ohlone and they hunted and gathered wild plants and fruits near Mission Bay. They built their homes on hills overlooking the bay. In 1795, Juan Jose Crespo founded Rancho San Buenaventura with land that included what is now Garden Grove. The town was named for General José Antonio Nieto who fought against Spanish control of California during the Mexican-American War (1846-48). In 1876, when Central Pacific Railroad reached Garden Grove from Los Angeles via Redwood City, it became an important railroad town with its own station on the main line between Sacramento and San Francisco. A year later, Gorman Bros., hardware store owners in nearby Anaheim opened a grocery store here also serving as a post office and bank. In 1915, two brothers—Harry Jameson and Harold Bendix—owned one of the largest plumbing companies in Southern California when they merged with Standard Oil Company to form Hughes Pipe & Tube Company Ltd.—later Hughes Plumbing Corporation. In 1928 Harry Jameson sold his interest in Hughes Pipe & Tube to Claflin Coolidge Jr., father of President Franklin D. Roosevelt Sr.. From then on until 1978, Garden Grove enjoyed continuous growth as one of Northern California's leading bedroom communities due to its many amenities such as good schools (eighty percent white), shopping malls (four major ones), tennis programs for children (the first ever offered in Orange County), golf courses (two open to public play), restaurants including several Italianate palazzos such as La Scala Taverna which served caviar for $4 per person per day after 1905; nightlife featuring nightclubs such as The Spotlite Lounge which had been started by radio DJ Bob Hope; high school sports teams like the Lakers' original team formed in 1947; numerous medical clinics including St Luke's Medical Center; widespread use of solar power beginning in 1972; notable architecture including Frank Gehry'shemispherical glass building completed 1967 at 666 N Broadway becoming one of only three buildings designed by Gehry outside Chicago—and much more!
