Garden Grove, California is a city in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 97,521 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous city in Orange County and the second-most populous city in Southern California after Los Angeles. Garden Grove is part of the San Gabriel Valley Metropolitan Statistical Area. The history of binoculars begins with ancient Egyptians using them to see objects up close. In 1795, Nicholas-Jacques Conte patented an improved design for binoculars which became popularized by Johann Heckel and Friedrich Wilhelm Tetzel as early as 1802. Binoculars were first marketed commercially to Americans by John Fiske in 1827. By 1830, they had become widely used throughout Europe and Asia. In 1876, Russian designer Mikhail Lomonosov developed a new type of telescope called a mirror telescope that featured a combination of a refractor lens and an objective lens on one end and a eyepiece on the other - this allowed observers to view targets located far away without having to remove their glasses or use another tool to look at them directly! By 1900 many people had adopted binoculars as their preferred method of viewing distant objects due to their increased accuracy over telescopes at that time. During World War II military inspectors used binoculars for spotting enemy troops from behind cover while Nazi officers watched through telescopes from outside fortified positions across Europe during Operation Overlord; these observations helped commanders make better decisions about where to deploy forces and achieve success against the Allies. In 1957 JVC introduced stereoscopic 3D television into Japan using projector tubes placed inside individual wine bottles which projected images onto glass fronts inside each bottle - these projectors could send 4 different images per eye so viewers experienced 3D when looking through 2D lenses or when splitting an image into multiple views with 3rd party glasses such as those available onondaglasses (and later digital devices). Garden Grove is a city in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 362 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern edge of Anaheim Hills and is adjacent to Springdale and Huntington Beach. The first people to live in Garden Grove were the Tongva people who inhabited the area for over 10,000 years. In 1845, two brothers by the name of Jameson founded what is now known as Jameson & Son grove grocery store. The Groves continued to operate until 1907 when they merged with another grove store then called Pacific Groves. Pacific Groves became part of Sperry's Department Store chain in 1916 before finally merging into GEICO in 1984. In 1915, Leland Stanford purchased land that would become Garden Grove from Major General John Teller for $5 million dollars. On July 12th of that year, The City of Garden Grove was incorporated and began construction on its current location which included a parkland area complete with an Arena football team named the Pasadena Panthers (later renamed as the Los Angeles Rams) which played their home games at Angell Park until 1949 when they moved to Memorial Stadium across Riverside Drive from UCLA during WW II. TheGrove also developed a line of chemical products under the name Geiger's Laboratories Incorporated (now GlaxoSmithKline). On November 15th 1954, Mayor Al Lawson signed legislation making Garden Grove one of six cities within Orange County to be designated "City Of Industry". This designation allowed for further development around Industry Boulevard including new homes and businesses being built just beyond what are now known as I-10 and Harbor Blvd., both leading north towards downtown Irvine

Garden Grove, California is a city in Orange County, California. It was founded on November 9, 1874 by Elisha Gray and Adolphus Butterfield. The population was 97 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Anaheim–Santa Ana–Tustin metropolitan area. The first European to visit Garden Grove was José de San Juan y la Gorce in 1769. The name of the town may derive from two small gardens adjoining his house which were called "Garden of Roses" and "Garden of Violets". Captain Gabriel Moraga visited Garden Grove on October 15, 1781 while exploring the southern tip of Los Angeles County for Spain. He named it La Palma after Don Fernando de Alburquerque who had administered that part ofCalifornia before Spanish explorer Gaspar de Portolà discovered Los Angeles Bay on December 2, 1769. In 1868 Jock Mahoney opened the first store in Garden Grove when he moved from Glendale Heights, Illinois to open a general store and post office there on Main Street known as "The Depot." In 1870 James Acheson opened a grocery store at 111th Avenue and Broadway near present-day City Hall Park with Wm. Higginson as its manager. A year later Acheson sold his interest to James Condon who operated it under the name “Condon” until 1906 when it became “James Acheson” Store No. 1 again becoming one of Orange County’s most important stores during its heyday in 1907-1910 according to local historian Dragan Djurdjevic Alesandro Aguirre landed at Long Beach Harbor early Friday morning March 29th 1848 aboard USS Constitution (1801) commanded by Commodore John Doolittle after an extended voyage from sea around Cape Horn trying to find new land eastward along Santa Barbara Strait Djurdjevic writes: The day started poorly for Aguirre as soon as he disembarked from Constitution because April showers turned into full blown thunderstorms that lasted all day long! After spending many hours seeking shelter inland behind some hills near what is now Club Medvale (then just north of downtown), they finally made their way out into Pasadena where they encountered Lt.(Jg.) Thomas Larkin's detachment led by First Lieutenant Nicholas Paullos Astute about 2 pmFriday 30 march 1848 enroute home after night operations off Santa Catalina Island
Garden Grove, California was first settled in 1821 by Captain John Sutter. The town was named for General James K. Polk's home of Garden Grove, Illinois. In 1892, the city annexed the neighboring towns of La Crescenta and Monrovia. Garden Grove grew rapidly during the late 1800s and early 1900s as a result of its location on the Via Rail line between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
