Fullerton, California is a city in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 213,744 at the 2010 census. It is the second most populous city in Orange County after Santa Ana and it is also the most populous city in Southern California. The City of Fullerton was founded on January 24, 1893 by John C. Fuller and his wife Martha Loomis Fuller. The first post office in Fullerton was established on December 12, 1887. The name "Fullerton" was nabbed on May 20th of that year from a contest to choose a new name for an agricultural town located east of Pasadena near San Bernardino In 1888 – 1889 John C. Fuller started full-time gardening with some land he had bought east of Pasadena He named his enterprise “John Fuller’s Garden Center” because he only operated it until 1893 when he sold all his holdings to General Electric Company for $1 million dollars In 1896 General Electric Company built their first electric generating station called the Edison Station (now known as GE Powerhouse) which became one of the largest generators ever built in Southern California In 1899 John C. Fuller donated 500 acres (2 km2) of land to Fullerton for use as a public park . This park now includes areas such as Paseo de la Palma Park and Donnybrook Park . On October 3rd 1904 Fullerton became incorporated as a municipality . From 1902 until 1932 there were no full-time schoolteachers living within what is now Fullerton limits but students from nearby Claremont Colleges would attend classes at Fullerton High School during those years Thanks to Mrs Jane Addams she started teaching at Claremont College in 1907 thereby creating many opportunities for her students who would then continue attendingfull-time schools while still residing within the City Limits

The Target Holder was made from two pieces of wood joined together at one end and had a hole drilled in it so that the shooter could put theirtarget through it and shoot. This Target Holder consisted of four steel plates that were attached to each other with screws and hinges so that they could be rotated around to change positions for different shooting exercises. In 1876, John D’Oliveira purchased land that included present-day Fullerton from José Castro for $10 per acre ($140 per kilometer). D’Oliveira named his new town El Monte after Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The first post office was established at Fullerton on March 17, 1877. At the time it was just 21 miles south of San Francisco and had a population of only 100 residents! A year later another post office was established at Rockaway Beach which served both towns until 1915 when they amalgamated to form Fullerton proper. In 1911, Anaheim obtained its own post office within Fullerton limits as well as an electric light company which quickly became one of Anaheims largest employers! Today there are over 50 businesses headquartered here including 12 banks and 10 shopping centers!

The name "Fullerton" is derived from the Alakeeti Fullerton tribe's word for "bridge over", as it bisected the then unincorporated community of La Jolla. The town had a population of only 100 people when it incorporated. In 1923, Fullerton became part of the City of Los Angeles. In 1959, full-time public education began in Fullerton with the opening of Atherton Elementary School and Hacienda High School. In 1984, Anaheim Junior College opened its doors in Fullerton and soon became one of Southern California's largest higher education institutions. In 1991, Disneyland opened its gates to visitors inside what was then known as Orange County Regional Airport (now known as John F Kennedy International Airport). The airport also served as home to Fullerton Municipal Airport until that airport closed in 2003. On November 15th, 2018, Fullerton celebrated its centennial year by hosting an event at Town Hall which included readings from historical documents and speeches by Mayor Dana Gillespie and other civic leaders
