Gun targets have been a part of Fullerton history for as long as there have been guns. Gun manufacturers, shooters, and collectors have all enjoyed using targets in their activities for years. The sport of target shooting has become more popular in the past decade or so due to the availability of quality firearms and the ease with which one can find targets that are both accurate and durable. The earliest target Shooting Club in Fullerton was established on November 3rd, 1892 by three men from Chicago named Hine, Sellers, and Wilson. They gathered some old rifles and shotguns from around town and set to work creating an 8-foot by 10-foot wooden target out of these materials. The first shots were fired at this target from a distance of about 50 feet. Over time, other people joined the club and started shooting at different distances such as 25 feet, 30 feet, 40 feet, 50 feet etc., until eventually they had a typical field Target size of 80 yards by 24 inches (approximately). At this point it was decided that a new rifle range would be built close to the local high school so that members could shoot together without having to leave their homes. This range was called “The Range” which still stands today on Park Boulevard in downtown Fullerton. In 1896 Captain George Wray founded what is now known as “The San Bernardino Rifle Club” in San Bernardino County Calif., an organization dedicated to promoting rifle sportsmanship within California society through instruction and competition among its members. Captain Wray organized numerous rifle matches throughout Southern California during his tenure as President; these matches served as a showcase for new American rifles being introduced into Europe at that time. By 1899 Captian Wray had also formed two additional rifle clubs – one near Los Angeles County called the Rancho Dominguez Rifle Club while another club was established near Redondo Beach – both providing opportunities for future top shooters across Southern California to compete against each other on an equal basis. In 1903 Captain Wray tragically passed away suddenly after many years involvement with various gun ranges throughout Southern California; however his legacy lives on through his son George Wray III who currently oversees fullfledged membership ceremonies for all those involved with Santa Barbara County Rifle Association Annual Meetings every spring! The Mexican War began in 1846 and ended with the Mexican Revolution in 1848. In 1853, American settlers arrived in California and began to build homes, farms, and businesses. One of these pioneers was James Wickersham, who built a farm on what is now First Street in Fullerton. On July 4, 1861, about 100 men fromFullerton organized into a rifle company called "The Battalion" to fight for Confederate forces during the American Civil War. After the war ended, Fullerton became part of the new United States of America. In 1865, President Abraham Lincoln signed an Executive Order creating the United States Coast Guard. The Coast Guard kept watch over Southern Californian waters until 1969 when it was merged with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Fullerton is a city in Southern California on the coast of Orange County. The population was 1,883 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. Fullerton has been home to people of all races and religions since its founding in 1871 as an agricultural community. The city's first white inhabitants were Spanish missionaries who arrived in 1821. In 1868, Gold Rush miners founded a new town called Industry, but it soon became an ghost town because of its difficult access to water resources and harsh climate. In 1870, entrepreneur John Sutter established what is now known as Sutter's Mill, which became one of the leading flourishes during the early days of full-fledged Americana on the West Coast. By 1880,Fullerton had become a thriving commercial center with its own newspapers and public libraries; until then, local papers were sourced from San Francisco or Sacramento. A year later, Fullerton organized itself into a municipality under the name "Fremont". The early years of Fullerton's growth were marked by tensions between Anglo settlers and Mestizo residents - full-blooded Mexican Americans outnumbered white Californians ten to one in early 21st century data - resulting in sporadic violence that often involved cattle thefts or robberies by Anglo men looking for grazing land unsuitable for farming but still yielding high profits for their investors. Nevertheless,Fullerton quickly developed into one of Southern California's most vibrant cities after gaining admittance to the state and nation through annexation by Los Angeles County in 1932 (it was not until 1959 that it became fully incorporated within Orange County).residential buildings began appearing along Roscoe Boulevard starting around 1925 followed by other areas such as Pico Boulevard eastward beginning about 1930s/1940s although there wasn't any street grid layout like today until much later especially north side where mostheavy industrial activity took place before World War II when Roscoe Boulevard got Straightened out due to military build up . That same year he also founded Fulleronano Co., which operated a gristmill and sawmill on Mulberry Street near present day Crenshaw Boulevard; these mills produced flour for local markets and shipped grain down Roscoe Boulevard to Stockton (and Kearny Mesa) via railroads."
On July 16, 1849, Fullerton was founded by William H. Fullerton and his wife Anna Maria as a post office on the east side of what is now Orange County. The post office operated until it was discontinued in 1862.Fullerton became a city on December 5, 1909.
