The Community Hall moved from its original location at Highpoint Plaza into more permanent quarters across Broadway from City Hall in 1912 when services were moved from Anza Cathedral due lack of space inside that structure after renovations began there following vandalism by some students who had broken into adjacent structures belonging to Bishop Reyes dude ranch circa 1910-1920). Fresno experienced some declining fortunes during World War II when most industry went away due to increased production within Los Angeles; however, it bounced back quickly after the war thanks largely to local defense spending which helped support agriculture throughout California.
