The population was 14,711 at the 2010 census. The first people to live in what is now Fontana were Native Americans who came from nearby Yosemite National Park. In 1872, John Sutter developed land west of Fresno and named it for himself – Fontana (from Latin "fontanus", meaning "flat"), after one of his many ranch holdings in that area. Sutter's Ranch included more than 26,000 acres (10 km2) of land which he sold beginning in 1876 to various groups of farmers and ranchers. By 1916, when the last piece of his original land had been developed, there were over 100 businesses operating in Fontana. In 1903, after years of planning and discussion by community leaders and citizens alike, an ordinance was passed establishing Fontana as a town under the jurisdiction of Fresno County. The townspeople built their first schoolhouse on Euclid Road just east of downtown in 1907; they voted to rename it after Mrs. Anna May Albee Goodwin – one-time director general of YMCA International – when she donated $5 for that purpose. During World War II, many residents worked on military bases such as Camp Custer and San Fernando Valley Air Force Base outside Of Angeles City; however most residents avoided combat because they considered it too dangerous. However some men did serve as military officers during World War II including Colonel James Waddell who commanded 3rd Squadron Fighter Group at Lingayen Gulf Naval Air Station before being transferred to Japan where he flew missions over Hiroshima on April 6th 1945 flying an American P-38 Lightning fighter bomber; Warrant Officer First Class George Easley also served with distinction during World War II as a radio operator with Headquarters Company 5th Battalion Infantry Regiment (Irregulars), Patton’s Third Army during Operation Market Garden across Hollandia Peninsula). following World War II most residents withdrew completely from active/combat roles but few left behind families or businesses continued operations

They featured brighter optics and better mounting options compared to their predecessor which made them more compatible with modern milspec rail systems such as those found on AR15 rifles and shotguns. One downside of these newer designs was that they required use of a proprietary mount system that wasn’t universal among manufacturers; this prevented them from being transferred onto other firearms easily or incorporating into existing stocks without modification (although some have been done). 4) Ruger’s Crimson Trace Technology: Ruger began using Crimson Trace technology in theirred dots back in 1998 as part of a push towards higher levels of accuracy with their rifles utilizing 6mm barrels or less (the company also uses it for pistols). This technology provides against what is known as “ghosting” or experiencing unwanted noise when hitting targets at high speeds due to light reflections off moving objects inside the barrel (this phenomenon can be caused by certain types of optics such as reflex sights). Fontana, California is a city located in San Bernardino County, California. The population was 26,730 at the 2010 census. It is the second most populous city in San Bernardino County after Claremont. Fontana was first settled in 1887 and became an incorporated town on January 15, 1912. The original name for this town was "Bakersfield". The post office changed its name to Fontana on July 1, 1912. On December 12 of that year, Fontana's first fire destroyed a block of businesses and homes on North First Street. This event helped start the current downtown district which now encompasses over 100 buildings. The current Mayor of Fontana is Noel Galloway who was elected in November 2014. In 1969, Notre Dame football player Don Shula donated $1 million to help fundFontana's new stadium project which would eventually become the Edward Jones Dome. The donation made Fontana one of only two U S cities to receive simultaneous donations from both La Salle University and Notre Dame football players during that time frame
