They began development on what would become the Laser Sight model 910, which they first exhibited at an ARPC meeting in 1953. This Weapon sight utilized an infrared light beam to projected onto an image display screen inside the firearm’s barrel shroud. By 1954, the Laser Sight model 910 had been successfully manufactured by Remington Arms Company and it became available for purchase on October 1st, 1954. The Laser Sight model 910 was very popular among shooters due to its simple design and easy use. It remained in production until 1984 when it was finally replaced by the current version – the Model R1 Classic Rifle sight.

The growth of Los Angeles led to a decline in business interest in Fillmore during the late 19th century; however, this did not stop entrepreneurs from trying to revive the town throughout the 20th century. In 1984, Mayor Dianne Feinstein announced plans to re-establish formal governance within all aspects of life within FILLMORE COMMUNITY CENTER (FCC). This effort culminated with FCC’s inauguration on November 14th, 1984 when individuals from all walks of life joined together under one roof for what was supposed to be a transformative event that would rebuild community trust and confidence following years of neglect by City Hall Brass
On November 8, 1849, Fillmore was born in Fillmore, California. He was the son of George and Nancy (Flamm) Fillmore. After serving in the United States military during World War II, he became a farmer and rancher in central California. In 1958, he married Beatrice "Bette" Knight. He died at his home on October 1, 1984.
