El Paso De Robles, California is a city located in the Mexican state of Baja California. It is one of the most important American cities in this region and also one of the oldest in Baja California. The city was founded on December 15, 1867 by Captain José Joaquín Cahuilla and his wife Amalia de la Luz Luna. The area now known as El Paso De Robles was part of the Rancho San Antonio de Tijuana which was granted to José Joaquín Cahuilla and his wife by Manuel Nieto on October 8, 1785. On July 20, 1868, Captain José Joaquín Cahuilla sold 1/4 share of Rancho San Antonio de Tijuana to Abraham J. Montoya for $1,000. On November 6 of that year, Captain José Joaquin Cahuilla donated land to the town of El Paso De Robles on condition that it become an agricultural center with lime kilns and other products being exported to Mexico City. El Paso De Robles started as a small post office with six mailboxes on May 10th 1870 under the name "Laguna". The first Mayor was Lorenzo González who served until 1876 when he became Governor of Baja California Sur while living in Sonora spa

The loss of these cultural amenities has not stopped El Paso De Robles from maintaining some degree of vitality; according to recent research compiled by city planners there are plans to develop over 100 acres within downtown boundaries should those efforts prove successful!
